Description

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. It was a rental since 1979 and not many physical changes since that time. Authentic and vintage. to when John grew up there. The window in the basement is the same window he would sneak out of. The doors are the same doors he saw and used. Brand new beds, couches, TV. Appliances are not new but not vintage either. Kitchen cabinets are vintage. Same doors he used. Bathroom throne is brand new. sink and shower newer, new sewer to the street. The space House was built in 1940's. John Mellencamp lived there in from the early 50's to mid 60's. Family of seven. I bought the house in 1978 and it has been a rental since that time as I lived there for a year before moving to Atlanta GA. I loved the house, my daughter was born there, and so I kept it as a rental. With the advent of Airbnb I decided to turn it to an Airbnb and give others the opportunity to enjoy the space and live where John Mellencamp lived. Guest access The basement and garage are not accessible at this time. I will give you the tour if you like complete with information about John's formative years.
