House in Kehrsiten

The charming house in an elevated location at the foot of the Bürgenstock offers plenty of privacy and a wonderful view of Lake Lucerne. The house is ideal for families or those seeking relaxation and offers plenty of space around the house to relax and linger in the great outdoors. The house has a covered seating area and an outdoor seating area with a table and open fireplace. Wood from the adjacent forest is at your disposal. Private lakeside swimming area for shared use. The space The house has 4 bedrooms on the upper floor with a total of 7 beds and a bath with shower, bath and toilet. It has two double beds with 4 beds, a single bed and a bunk bed with 2 beds. Beds are made, shower and wash towels are provided for use. On the ground floor there is the large living room with dining table, fireplace and couch area, a separate room with sofa and table for playing or reading, the kitchen and the bathroom/toilet. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking yourself, the most important spices, kitchen towels and dishwashing detergent and the coffee capsules for the coffee machine are also available for free use. Through the kitchen you can reach the outdoor seating area with a table and barbecue area. In addition to the house entrance, it has a covered seating area and a terrace above the garage. The private lake square can be reached on foot about 150 m from the house. The meadow can be used for playing or sunbathing and there is a picnic table available. The water can be reached from the meadow via a metal staircase. It has some games for young and old in the house and outside it has a sandbox with toys for the younger guests and a ping pong table stands in the basement for the larger guests. We use the house ourselves for our holidays with our kids and we would be happy if you also like it and they could take home beautiful memories of this unique place. If you miss something in the house or at the lake square, let us know and we will see what we can arrange at short notice. Important note: The access road (approx. 1.6 km) to the house will be completely renovated from mid-October 2025 to the end of April 2026, and access to the access road will only be possible to a limited extent. The downtimes are planned as follows: from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is the possibility to park the car in the village and from there to walk to the house (footpath, uphill 200m long, about 50m difference in altitude). To the village: Kehrsiten is a small place with about 300 inhabitants located on Lake Lucerne about a 30-minute drive to Lucerne. The charming place is quietly located with a beautiful village center and opportunities to eat in one of the restaurants or just for a leisurely walk. Excursion ideas: - Hike or train ride to Bürgenstock - Shipping to Lucerne - Boat trip to Alpnachstad and hike or train ride on the Pilatus - Lunch in a local restaurant and subsequent bathing chat in the lake - Trip to Engelberg and mountain trip on the Titlis - Countless other destinations in central Switzerland Guest access The whole house is at your disposal. It has areas that can only be used by arrangement. For example, the basement, garage and attic. Other things to note Arrival: By car via Stansstad. From there, an approximately 4 km long and sometimes somewhat narrow road leads to Kehrsiten. The height restriction for vehicles is 2.6 m. The village can also be reached by class ship. There are the stops Kehrsiten Dorf and Kehrsiten Bürgenstock. However, arriving by boat to the holiday home is only feasible with little luggage. Train travelers go by train to Stansstad and then take a taxi. Things to Note: - for all residents there is a car on Sunday driving from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. from 1 May to 30 September - Car driving permit is required (we are happy to provide for you) - Unfortunately, there are no more shopping opportunities in the village. Our recommendation is already to discuss a menu plan for the first day in advance and possibly already shop in Stansstad - During the winter months about November to March, there may be snow on the access road. Then the car can be parked upstairs (about 150m walk to the house) or otherwise you can drive snow chains to the house. In winter, only ships leave Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock to Lucerne and there is only one restaurant that is still open. You can reach various ski resorts from Kehrsiten in 20 to 40 minutes by car.
