If you are bringing a Service Animal, we kindly ask that you send us a note at the time of booking to confirm: (1) Whether you or someone in your party requires the animal because of a disability; and (2) What work or task the animal has been trained to perform. We kindly ask guests to disclose the presence of their Service Animal before check-in to avoid potential confusion, surprises, and compliance with our standard pet policy. These questions are permitted under Airbnb's Service Animal policy. Please note that Connecticut law does not recognize Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) as Service Animals. Unlike Service Animals, ESAs are not required to have specialized training and do not have the same legal protections in public accommodations. While ESAs may have certain protections in housing under the federal Fair Housing Act, these do not apply to short-term rentals like Airbnb. Therefore, ESAs are considered pets and are subject to our standard pet policy. For more details, please search and review on the internet "Airbnb's Service Animal Policy," and the "Connecticut Judicial Branch Law Libraries Law About Service Animals and the ADA." This helps ensure a smooth stay for all guests. Thank you for your cooperation!
