Our luxurious Holiday cottage. '19 A The Stables.' (sleeps 4) Has been fully refurbished to a high standard. It is situated in the heart of the picturesque market town of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. 19A The stables are ideal for your family getaways with the kids & your dog. Bicycle rack & cast iron racking for your wellies! We have Smart TVs in 2 x bedrooms & the lounge. Along with a dedicated work area. It is a Perfect family holiday Cottage. The space Ground Floor Living Room: Cosy with a large Ultra HD Smart TV to watch your favourite Netflix series. We also have a travel cot which is provided free of charge. Please note that, due to safety reasons, we are unable to erect this; however, it is a foldable unit. We also provide an iron, ironing board An umbrella stand and shoe rack is provided for your comfort Kitchen: gas oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Coffee pod machine, table and chairs. It is complete with all cooking and eating utensils. We also provide picnic basket where you can enjoy a quaint visit to the countryside and relax. This is complete with picnic blanket. There is also a safe in the cupboard There is an Alexa where you can listen to your favourite music and radio Downstairs wc: with toilet and wash hand basin First Floor Bedroom 1: with King-size bed, clothing rail, storage, and Smart Ultra HD TV Bedroom 2: with twin beds, clothing rail, storage, and Ultra HD Smart TV Bathroom: with shower over bath, toilet and wash hand basin. Study/Dressing Room: with desk, chair, and large wall mirror. There is a hair drier available in this room. Other things to note: Minimum 2-night stay We provide towels, bedding throughout. Please notify us in advance if you are bringing a dog, there is a £30 charge for this. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. In addition, we only allow 1-dog at the premises and advise that they should not be left unattended. There is a dog gate permanently fitted for your use. There will also be a soiling charge for the dog of £100 if a deep clean is required after your stay. Any damages to the property will automatically be charged to your account There is a launderette opposite the property which is open most days so perfect for the longer stays Health and Safety All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors. Kitchen is fitted with a heat detector, fire extinguisher and fire blanket is also provided There is a 1st aid kit in the top cupboard of the kitchen There is no smoking permitted inside the property Our property sleeps 4 people comfortably. Perfect for a family break; this tasteful two-bedroom lodge has all the comforts of home, with space for everyone to enjoy. Its exposed brickwork walls and oak beams ensure that it is in keeping with its original appearance as much as possible. All rooms are tastefully decorated to a very high standard and complete with all modern fixtures and fittings. The property is fitted with up-to-date, modern and fast Wi-Fi. There are ample off-site parking spaces nearby with a temporary loading area (whenever available) adjacent to the property; this is restricted to a 60-minute stay There is a car park passes within the property for use of our guests. This can be used after 3pm and before 10am, subject to spaces being available. *** Fail to return the car park pass will result in a £60.00 charge to replace*** About Ashbourne and surrounding areas Our beautiful, fully refurbished “The Stables”, is situated in the heart of the picturesque market town of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Derbyshire is well known for its lush green hills. Ashbourne’s position near the southern edge of the Peak district makes it the closest town to Dovedale. Dovedale Nature Reserve is famous for its steppingstones, a hot spot for fossil hunters. On the nearby Tissington Trail you explore some of England’s most scenic countryside, with trails and cycleways for all ages. The trail is joined by High Peak Junction where you can walk, cycle, or ride a horse all year round. Consider taking a spectacular cable car ride on the Heights of Abraham to the award-winning park. Gulliver’s’ Kingdom is great for kids! Take the spectacular cable car to the Heights of Abraham, an award-winning hilltop park. At the top find the 60-acre landscaped grounds, exhibition areas, woodland walks, and adventure playground. For something different, a 45-minute guided walk through the spectacular Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Park Cavern, the most spectacular natural cavern in the Peak District. It is famous for its unique crystal formations including the longest stalactite formation in the area. Eyam – visit this beautiful and historic village, famous for being ‘ground zero’ of the Black Death of 1666. Chatsworth House – home to Duke of Devonshire. Visit the house for fascinating stories and significant art collections. Explore the beautiful gardens with huge water features and giant sculptures all set in one of Britain’s most stunning country estates. With Britain’s best farm shop on the site, you can really spend the full day there. Crich Tramway Village – take a trip back in time and ride vintage trams in the open countryside. There’s an enchanting Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail with a gift shop, tearoom, and children’s play area. Our plethora of other famous halls include Hardwick Halls and Gardens, Kedleston Hall, Calke Abbey, Matlock Farm Park and Bolsover Castle Ashbourne’s name derives from the Old English meaning “stream with ash trees”; it was granted a market charter in 1257. The town is also famous for its ancient tradition of Royal Shrovetide Football; started by famous figures including Prince Charles (now King Charles III), Sir Stanley Matthews, and The Duke of Devonshire. Ashbourne and its surrounding areas are home to several restaurants as well as top-rated Michelin restaurants, so you have a plethora of choices when deciding where to eat. There is an abundance of pubs, quirky shops, and cafes to delight all age groups. The streets of Ashbourne will always be bustling with both local folk and many visitors from all over the UK. Other things to note We do not provide shampoo or towels for your dog to use in the dog wash. Please Bring your own. There is a gate by the main road, Please keep dogs and children supervised as other neighbours use this gate also. Dogs are only allowed downstairs due to the high-quality furnishings upstairs. We have provided throws for the sofa in the living area so that if you want your dog on the sofa with you for cuddles after a long day off family adventures, this enables us to keep the furnishings in the best condition for as long as possible for the next guests.
