Situated on 0.7 of an acre, the cabin offers ample space for relaxation, enjoyment of the outdoors and the sounds of the nearby creek. The cabin is just a short walk to Kilner Park, Sunnyside Resort, and Firesign Café, West Shore Market and Lake Tahoe! Please read "Other Things to Note" prior to requesting a reservation. The space Looking for a cozy and comfortable retreat in the heart of nature? Look no further than this delightful cabin in Pineland, just outside of Tahoe City. With its charming pine wood paneling and updated interior décor, this cabin provides the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern convenience. Whether you're looking to unwind with a good book in front of the fire, hit the nearby trails for a hike, or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air, this cabin is the perfect spot for your next getaway. Listen to the sounds of nature from your bed with the nearby Ward Creek that flows all year round giving you that natural calming sound. As you step into the living room, you'll be greeted with an open floor concept that seamlessly blends into the dining area. The living room features a Full size futon that is perfect for accommodating extra guests or for a relaxing evening in. It's a versatile piece of furniture that can be easily converted into a bed and provides a comfortable sleeping space for guests or family members. Additionally, the Smart TV is available for all your streaming desires, so you can binge-watch your favorite shows or movies in the comfort of your own space. Moving on to the dining area, a table that's perfect for four is set up, making it a great spot to enjoy meals or to play board games with friends and family. The cabin's kitchen is a cozy and practical space that is located just off the dining area. It comes fully equipped with all the basic necessities you need for a comfortable stay. From plates and cups to pots and pans, you will find everything you need to prepare your meals. One of the highlights of the kitchen is the convenient collapsible counter space that can be used for larger meals. This feature provides the flexibility you need to cook and serve your favorite dishes. In addition to the counter space, the kitchen also features a variety of appliances that will make your stay more enjoyable. You will have access to a stove/oven, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, and blender. These appliances are perfect for whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a delicious dinner. Please note, there is no dishwasher in the cabin's kitchen. Located on the opposite side of the cabin from the kitchen, you'll find the master bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom is outfitted with a brand new king-size bed that is covered in new organic sheets, providing you with ultimate comfort and relaxation. For those chilly winter nights, the room is also equipped with a wood-burning stove, while two large ceiling fans will keep you cool during the warmer summer months. The bedroom also features beautiful French doors that open up to the front patio during the summer months only, allowing you to take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. During the winter months the French doors will be partially covered to help prevent any damage from snow fall. Just steps away from the bedroom, you'll find the master bathroom. Here, you can relax in the bathtub after a long day of skiing or hiking or opt for a spacious shower. We want our future guests to be aware that the bathtub is set up to be used as a soaking bath tub or a cold plunge tub only. (See "other details to note" for more details on how to properly use the bathtub.) The bathroom also boasts two large mirrored closets and dual sinks, providing ample space for your belongings. With all these great amenities, you'll never want to leave the comfort of the master suite. The small half bathroom and laundry room area is a convenient addition to the cabin's layout. Located just off the kitchen side, it provides easy access for those who want to quickly wash their hands or use the facilities. The extra shelving in the area is also a welcome feature, as it provides ample space for storing groceries or other items. With a new washer and dryer installed, doing laundry will be a breeze and you can relax on your vacation without worrying about running out of clean clothes. Overall, the half bathroom and laundry room area is a thoughtful addition to the cabin that adds to the convenience and comfort of your stay. During the summer season, the front patio evolves into a serene summer retreat. There is a charming table with seating for four, adorned with a shaded umbrella ideal for enjoying morning coffee or a relaxed lunch. Additionally, a Nexgrill gas BBQ stands ready for your culinary adventures. Completing the ambiance, delightful solar-powered lights cast a warm glow over the patio, creating an inviting and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. Lastly enjoy the delightful aroma of strategically positioned fresh flowers. The cabin is conveniently located near Kent Park, a popular destination for summer recreation. Within the park, visitors can enjoy a playground equipped with swings and slides for children, as well as courts for pickleball, tennis, basketball, and beach volleyball. Additionally, there are picnic tables and public restroom facilities available. For those seeking further adventure, a brief walk will unveil West Shore’s gems such as Sunnyside Restaurant, Firesign Cafe, West Shore Market, The Shadyside Lounge and the trendy public William Kent Beach, situated to the left of Sunnyside Restaurant. Please note, there is a second dwelling above the garage that is typically occupied throughout the year. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay. Additionally, there is a second occupied dwelling on the property that will help maintain snow removal during the winter months. Other things to note In an effort to maximize guest experiences, prior to pre-approving your reservation we require that all guests confirm reading and agreeing to the following details. We want to ensure our cabin suits your liking and believe clear communication is the key to a successful lodging experience. Thank you in advance! 1. Master Bathtub can be enjoyed as a soaking tub or a cold plunge. It is not a jacuzzi tub. The master bathroom is connected to a 50gal hot water heater so please be mindful of water usage during your stay. If planning to take a warm bath, we advise waiting for at least an hour after using any water in the master bathroom to maximize the temperature of the bath. The bathtub does appear to have jets but they are inoperable. Please do not use them. Prior to entering, please rinse off to keep the tub free from lotions or sunscreen residues. 2. Smart TV is set up in the living room for your use. The house does not have basic cable but has all your TV streaming apps. Please feel free to login to your personal accounts to get all of your streaming favorites. Upon departure we recommend you log back out of your accounts so that the next guest can do the same. 3. The cabin does not have interior doors on all doorways. However, in an effort to provide some privacy we have installed traditional Japanese curtains (noren) at the entrance to the master bedroom and master shower room. 4. Bear Protocol: We want to ensure all guests are willing and able to be diligent in using the bear wires at all times. In addition, comply with local rules of keeping vehicles and outdoor premises free from food and trash at all times throughout one's stay. 5. A Full Time Professional Tenant occupies the premises above the garage throughout the year. The upstairs unit is located roughly 40ft. away from the main house. 6. Snow Removal: During the winter months the home will be cleared of snow prior to check in time. If any additional shoveling is needed thereafter you will be responsible for clearing it. The driveway is scheduled to be cleared every 6in. Please note, pending weather conditions there could be times snow removal services are impacted causing delays in the driveway being cleared.
