A beautiful late 16th century thatched cottage located in the desirable village of Kingham. A two minute walk from The Wild Rabbit Pub and The Kingham Plough. Plenty of free parking just opposite the cottage. There is also a very handy village shop close by. This delightful cottage has been featured in House and Gardens Magazine and also Condé Nast Traveller. A home away from home and only a short 25 min walk down the bridle path to the famous Daylesford Organic Farm shop, restaurants and Spa. The space The Cottage: A friendly and happy cottage with thoughtful interiors and a delightful cottage garden. A large snuggly sofa and cosy log burning stove set within the original inglenook fireplace welcome you to this much loved and cared for home. There is a dining table which comfortably seats four people. A small but well equipped kitchen with an Everhot Aga cooker. Next to this is the spacious shower room and then upstairs two beautiful character bedrooms, both with beautiful linens and comfortable king beds. Other amenities provided include a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother, kettle, toaster, fridge, separate freezer, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, radio with Bluetooth and TV with Netflix etc. Guest Access: The whole cottage and delightful patio garden (self check in/out with lock box) Other things to note: There is plenty of free parking just opposite the cottage. The patio garden is located across the path from the cottage, sandwiched between the Espalier Apple trees. Go through the rose arch and you will find the perfect place to enjoy some tea or a glass of rose in the sunshine. There is ample seating around the large garden table. There is underfloor heating in the porch, lounge and shower room, which is set on a timer. Also two freestanding heaters are available in the bedrooms upstairs, if needed. Also included: English Breakfast tea Peppermint tea Grind House Coffee pods Fresh 'bake at home' croissants in the freezer - just pop them in the aga! Hand wash and shower gel Hairdryer Towels and bed linen Garden chair cushions Portable fans for warmer weather The two village pubs often get booked up quickly, therefore I strongly recommend booking a table. Please find details in the guest book along with other recommendations. Please note that there are no items for babies including a cot or high chair provided, however you are welcome to bring your own if required for your children or babies. Well behaved small/medium dogs (max 2) are welcome. (Please note there is a pet fee of £20) Please do let me know if you are planning on bringing your fury friends with you. Please note that any damage to the cottage, including bed linen and towels will be charged for. This is a NO SMOKING/VAPING home! Guest access The entire cottage and delightful patio garden Other things to note Where you'll be: Kingham, England, United Kingdom The cottage is in the heart of Kingham which was voted "Englands Favourite Village" by Country Life magazine. It is just a short 3 minute walk from the famous Wild Rabbit pub and restaurant, the Village shop and The Kingham Plough pub and restaurant, which was voted the county and the nations best dining pub by The Good Pub Guide 2019. Daylesford Organic Farm is a 30 minute walk down the bridle path, which comes practically to the door of the cottage, or a three minute drive away. A short drive to Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, The Tews, The Slaughters, SoHo Farmhouse, Bibury and Burford. Trains run every hour from London Paddington station direct to Kingham. It is then a short 5 minute taxi drive to the cottage (booking details for the taxi can be provided on request). There are plenty of lovely walks in and around Kingham, not to mention the sunsets over the lane are absolutely STUNNING! Getting around: You have everything you need within ease of walking distance of the cottage gate for a traditional cotswold weekend. The local village shop is well stocked with all the essentials, including fresh bread delivered every day. If you are wanting to explore further afield cotswold villages, a car will be helpful, but is not essential. Most of the popular Cotswold villages are between 5-25 minutes drive away.
