CURLEWS, part of the Luxury Boltholes collection, is a design-led beachfront home in Selsey with sea views at every turn, an upstairs living space made for the view, and a secret bath hidden behind the bookshelves. Sleeps 8. The space The house has an upside-down layout, with the living space on the first floor to make the most of the view. Large windows look out over the water, and the open-plan room has a sitting area, a dining table with sea views and a terrace. It's a lovely place to spend time together, and there's still room for anyone who wants a quiet corner. The sitting room is in soft blues and neutral tones, which feel calm and welcoming. On winter evenings the wood burner keeps you company, and there's a TV if you tire of the view. The library has a collection of books that's easy to lose an afternoon in. Look carefully and you'll find the hidden bathroom behind one of the bookshelves. It has possibly the best view in the house. The kitchen is well equipped, with a well-stocked pantry and a Lacanche range that makes cooking a pleasure. Outside, the garden has a seating area with a BBQ, which is perfect for eating out on a warm evening. The balcony is a lovely spot to sit and watch the waves. It's an easy walk to the pub, the fish and chip shop and the small high street. Curlews belongs to an artist, and her work is displayed throughout the house. Sleeping arrangements (sleeps 8) - Bedrooms 1 to 4: four king-size bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which can be split into two single beds. - Each bedroom has its own terrace, with a view of the sea or the garden. - There are three bathrooms, including a fully accessible wet room. Guest access You'll have private use of the whole house and garden. The house: living area with a wood burner, library, kitchen and all four bedrooms. The garden: seating area with a BBQ.
