Description
Curl up on the sofa in front of a roaring fire or hit the Cleveland way walking route. The Old Tap Room welcomes you, your family / friends and your pooch to enjoy your break. The well equipped open plan space downstairs fits four people comfortably with two double bedrooms upstairs each with own shower room. Recently renovated and fully equipped. Parking for one car directly outside the front door. Close to amenities in Hinderwell. No outside space but moors and coast are on your doorstep. The space The Tap Room is a 110 year old cottage. It was originally part of the village pub next door. This is now a high end restaurant. As you walk through the front door you will be greeted with a welcome basket for you to enjoy. The downstairs is a cosy, sociable open plan space incorporating lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The lounge has two leather sofas and a log burner ( with child safety surround ) for those chilly winter evenings. The smart TV has Netflix so you can choose to catch up on those box sets you have been meaning to watch for ages. Your pooch hasn't been forgotten. They have their own private bedroom under the stairs. The well equipped kitchen enables the designated cook to prepare your meal whilst staying in the conversation. The dining area has a table and four chairs. There is a bookcase with books and puzzles for you to use. Upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms each with their own ensuite shower and toilet. In the wardrobe in the back bedroom you will find a travel cot, stair gate and chair for your little one. The cottage is in the beautiful protected North Yorkshire Moors. Port Mulgrave is a quiet village but with easy access to bigger towns like Whitby and Saltburn As you walk out of the cottage, turn right and walk to the end of the road to the sea and the Cleveland Way walking trail. If you turn left at the Cleveland Way you can walk along the cliffs to beautiful Staithes. If you turn right you get to the fantastic beach at Runswick Bay. If you turn left out of the cottage you get to the village of Hinderwell, only 500m away, where you will find two pubs, Tea rooms, a butcher that sells most things you might need and a fish and chips shop. There is a regular bus that will take you to Whitby and Saltburn and villages enroute. We hope that you will have a wonderful break and enjoy staying at The Tap Room. Guest access The whole cottage is available to you Other things to note A well behaved dog is welcome. please note the cottage doesn't have a garden but you are surrounded by wonderful walks, countryside and coast.
