Surrounded by miles of undulating countryside and only a few miles from the stunning coastline, this luxury self-catering home is all about life’s simple pleasures; drawn-out coastal pub lunches, rural rambles, wildlife spotting and starry nights. Recently built, Findara’s lofty ceilings, luxury furnishings and wild Northumberland views chime to a different tune, where relaxation and an off-the-beaten-track feel is the name of the game. The space Welcome to Findara at Lowick House! Run by Lydia and Arthur along with their two children and friendly golden retriever, Lola. Lydia has worked in the luxury travel industry in London for many years and more recently has been running three award-winning holiday cottages in Northumberland. “We are passionate about the area and hope you will enjoy discovering this beautiful and wild part of Northumberland”. Findara is our latest holiday home, lovingly self built on the site of a former mill in 2024. If it's rest and relaxation you crave, then Findara offers this in abundance; you'll find understated appeal, open-plan living, and a light-filled space complete with sinkable sofas and cosy blankets. There are three bedrooms at Findara; one with a king-size bed (with an en suite bath and overhead rain shower), and one with zip-and-link beds (which can be set up as a double or a twin) with an en suite with double walk-in rain shower. There is also a single bedroom with an additional pull out bed (sleeps 2 children under 12 years old or one adult). Both master bedrooms have access into the garden. In the adjoining guest wing, we also have two ensuite guest bedrooms named ‘Havilliard’ meaning ‘loved one’ and ‘Serafina’, Hebrew for ‘highest ranking angels of God’. Both rooms are situated on the ground floor and interconnect with Findara should you wish to add on additional bedrooms. Please enquire when making your booking if you require extra bedrooms, subject to availability. Our rooms are light and airy with dramatic tall ceilings and decorated using beautiful soft furnishings and fabrics from renowned local designer, Charlotte Gaisford. You will have access to your accommodation via a lockable door and we offer an external key safe so that you can come and go as you please. We do our best to ensure the environment is at the forefront of what we provide and continue to make small steps towards being sustainable. We source local ingredients for our welcome hamper and toiletries that are eco-friendly and cruelty free. Our underfloor heating and timber frame home secures our pledge to sustainability, whilst maintaining an ambient temperature year-round via our ground source heat pump. Thermostats are present in each room for individual control. Findara at Lowick House is located down a private track so offers peace and tranquillity and beautiful views. Due to its perfect skies, Northumberland has been awarded gold tier status by the international Dark Sky Association (IDA), making it officially one of the best places on Earth to view the wonders of the night sky. There is an abundance of wildlife and sightings of deer, hares, pheasants, and birds are common. If you're seeking exploration, aside from muddy countryside walks from the doorstep, you're just 10-minutes from the dog-friendly beaches of Bamburgh and Goswick. The local village of Lowick is around two miles away, accessible by car or foot and has two excellent pubs and a quaint village shop. Holy Island is approx 5 miles away and is a must during your stay. We are also a short distance from Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands and the historical town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and there are many local activities available including horse riding, surfing, fishing, abseiling and golf. Your stay includes a luxury hamper of local produce, Smart TV with AppleTV and Netflix, Nespresso coffee machine, books and board games, Starlink internet, luxury linen, towels and bath products by Noble Isle & Laura Thomas Co. Private catering Seeking a celebratory dinner or fully catered escape? Our recommended caterers will work with you to create personalised menus for your stay. Pets Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, on prior request only. Each pet is charged at £50 per week or part thereof. Please contact the owner when making your booking for our dog policy. All dogs should be fully house trained and have a minimum age of 1 year old (sadly no puppies allowed). Also, it may not be appropriate to bring elderly dogs or any dogs who have behavioural or incontinence issues. Guest access Guests have complete access to the property, including complimentary WiFi. The enclosed garden offers privacy and outdoor space for relaxation. Parking is available for up to two cars, providing convenience during your stay. Other things to note There is patchy mobile phone reception here, but we offer complimentary WIFI and WIFI calling via our advanced Starlink internet system. We ensure there is also a landline for emergency calls or power outages.
