Nanny's Place - Cozy Porch View Getaway

Step into a simpler time at Nanny’s Place. This nostalgic porch level getaway has thoughtful touches, vintage charm, and cozy comfort. We invite you to stay awhile at this peaceful escape. Take time to slow down, reconnect, and feel at home. Perfect location for couples and families, plus travelers exploring the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, hiking experiences, and local hunting areas. You will be staying on the Cozy Porch View Getaway, which is the main level of the house with a wraparound porch. The space Sit in the swing on the wrap-around porch with a fresh glass of Nanny's sweet tea while gazing out into the country fields. Deer might be seen grazing in the fields in the early evening. Lawn chairs and wood are provided for a relaxing evening campfire at the large fire pit area. Roasting sticks are available so you can enjoy roasting marshmallows. The fire pit has a grill topper for cooking steaks or whatever you desire over an open fire. Plus there is a gas grill on the porch and grilling utensils are provided. For your entertainment, enjoy a game of washers in the large yard or play Ring Toss on the porch. Relax in the living room with some popcorn watching the Smart TV. In the morning enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of milk with a sweet homemade treat Lisa has made just for you, along with fresh apples, hot oats and cereals! Guest access Guests will stay at Nanny' Place in the Cozy Porch View Getaway which is the main level of the house. This level includes a wrap-around porch with a swing, large outdoor area, a fire pit, grill and spacious parking area behind the house. The garage and Cozy Rustic Getaway which is the walkout basement level of the house with it's patio, lower parking and large outdoor area in front of the patio is not included. We want all registered guests to enjoy a comfortable peaceful stay- therefore parties, events, gatherings, get-togethers and unregistered guests/visitors are not permitted at Nanny's Place so not to disturb the registered guests on the lower Cozy Rustic Getaway level. If you need more space and total privacy we suggest Nanny's Place-Entire Home Getaway, which includes both floor levels and can accommodate 10 guests. Other things to note Nanny's Place is located on our 300 acre farm which as guests you are welcome to explore. Located in the midst of several Southern Illinois small towns, Nanny's Place is near historical sites like Bald Knob Cross of Peace, many State and Federal Park hiking trails, plenty of wineries on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and wonderful local owned places to eat like The Iron Whisk in Cobden, Dixie Barbecue in Jonesboro and Don Sol Mexican Grill in Anna to name a few. Our farm has a pond that guests are welcome to fish off the bank, so bring your fishing gear.
