Description
Hi from Andrew & Annie – welcome to our sunny sanctuary! We'll do our best to ensure you have a friendly, comfy, and peaceful stay. The neighbourhood is quiet, and our windows are double-glazed, so expect a good night's sleep! We're on a safe, tree-lined street with lovely views, about a 10-minute drive from Nelson city centre and 8 minutes from the airport. Saxton Field is a 2 minute drive. Beautiful Isel Park is a 10 minute walk, and the famous McCashin's Brewery is a 15 minute walk. The space One private bedroom has a queen-size bed, desk, wardrobe, and dresser. The other private bedroom has two single beds, a dresser, and a wardrobe. Both bedroom doors can be locked from the inside for privacy. Next to both bedrooms is a private toilet and a separate, luxurious private bathroom with a bath and double shower. Please Note: If you seek accommodation for only 1-2 guests, please see our other Airbnb listings: Somerset Rise (double room) or Somerset Rise (twin single room). These rooms are about 50% cheaper than this listing. Bifold doors lead to the deck and garden, with panoramic views of Tasman Bay and the Nelson Ranges—perfect for alfresco dining. The house has a contemporary kitchen fully equipped with all the pots, pans, and utensils required for cooking. You can cook meals, but please remember to clean up afterwards. If you prefer takeaway food, there are excellent Chinese, Indian and Thai restaurants nearby. Additionally, there are many other takeaway/dining options available in central Nelson and Richmond. A simple breakfast of fresh bread (for toasting), various spreads, cornflakes, coffee, tea, apple juice, and fresh milk is provided. Like to bike? We offer three bikes, all free for you to enjoy! Wheel sizes are 27-inch (1) and 24-inch (2). The serene Railway Reserve is just a 5-minute ride from our location and part of Tasman’s Great Taste Trail. This well-formed and marked trail was designed for cyclists, offering an off-road route through the delicious and scenic landscapes of Nelson/Tasman. It's also frequently used by locals. Tip #1: Be sure to visit The Honest Lawyer (old English) pub, another popular local spot. Tip #2: If peanut butter is your thing, don't miss visiting Pic's Peanut Butter Factory, where the world's best peanut butter is made! It's just a 10-minute bike ride from here.
