Amazing lakeside view!

Sebec Lake provides a peaceful escape from the busy routine of life. Take it easy at this cottage located in Bowerbank on Edgewater Road. This property sleeps 8 (bedroom #1- 1 queen bed; bedroom #2- 1 queen size bed, 2nd floor landing- 1 twin bed. Downstairs back room- 3 twin beds.) This cottage allows well behaved pets. Guest access We invite you to explore the lake and land. Go for walks, swim, boat, hike, or hang back and read, play games, make a meal, or work, if you must. Sit down by the lake on the dock, or overlook the lake on the screened in porch and enjoy the warm breeze off the water. Once you settle down, you may not want to go out. Although, there are several fun food experiences within a 30-minute drive. Be sure to check out Three Rivers Brewery Tap Room (Bissell Brothers) in Milo, and Peace Love & Waffles, Fiesta's Mexican and Vail's Icelandic Bakery in the nearby town of Dover-Foxcroft. Both towns have groceries too, but if you need something in a pinch, the Sebec Country Store is only 9 miles from our home. There are so many hikes and parks to explore within 30-60 minute drive. Drive or boat to Peaks Kenny State Park, on the other side of Sebec Lake. There is kayak and canoe rentals available there, as well. It’s a great place for a late afternoon picnic. Take a drive to Monson and jump on the Appalachian Trail, or spend the day hiking Borestone Mountain. Guest access The cottage is available seasonally. This includes the two bedrooms upstairs (2 queens + 1 twin on landing upstairs), kitchen with dining table, Living room, one full bathroom, and bedroom downstairs (3 twin beds). The community of Bowerbank is rural. In the event of certain inclement weather, the power can go out for a bit. Please note that this house is not equipped with a generator, so be sure to fill some pots with water if you suspect strong winds or thunderstorms. There are plenty of candles – certainly handle with care. Driveway will accommodate 2 vehicles. There is space for additional car at the top of the driveway. FYI- driveway is moderately sloped. We have a reliable WiFi, but no TV. The camp has some board games and books.
