The space Puffin's Burrow is a single space open plan self-contained flatlet with a separate ensuite bathroom. It has a private outside space, consisting of a 'stoep' and patio area with adjacent secure off-street parking. A Firepit/'Braai'/BBQ is available and is the central focal point for cooking and socialising. Fairy lights adorn this space giving it a little bit of magic. The flatlet is situated in the peaceful residential area of Vermont in a private corner of a main residence. It is located less than 80 meters from the ocean and breath-taking world famous Hermanus Cliff Path. Within minutes, a person has access to two tidal pools, Jan Rabie and Davies Pools, both providing excellent swimming and snorkelling opportunities as well as lovely picnic spots. Davies Pool also has a Coffee Stand, outdoor Exercise Equipment and Toilet/Showering Facilities available. The lovely Blue Flag Beach at Onrus is less than 3 km away and hosts International Bodyboarding Championships annually. Vermont is a picturesque suburb of Hermanus and has been developed with twenty percent of its area dedicated to retaining the original coastal fynbos, which forms natural green corridors between the residences. These green passages not only protect fynbos but is also home to an abundance of birdlife, antelope, caracal, mongoose and porcupine. The coastal town of Hermanus is nestled between green mountains to the north and the ocean to the south. The town centre with its numerous quaint shops and eateries, is less than 9km away and is a popular tourist destination, famous for whale watching, over 50 wineries and its outdoor lifestyle. Art is also at the forefront with numerous galleries dotted across town and several murals adorning walls. Escape to this little slice of heaven, where a person can relax, smell and hear the roar of the ocean, enjoy nature at its best and feel the stresses of modern day life slip away in this tranquil setting. Puffin's Burrow is a go-to destination for that little bit special and romantic getaway. Guest access Puffin's Burrow is available to guests in its entirety. It is a private building with its own outside space and parking situated in the front corner of a main residence. Access is via an electric gate from the street. There is also access to a washing line to dry towels, wet beachwear and clothes through a gate to the right of the building. Although there is a slight level change in the outside space from the parking space onto the 'stoep', there are no steps in and out of the building. Other things to note Puffin's Burrow has an added benefit of a fitted Inverter providing lights and wi-fi during Loadshedding/Power outages. A solar geyser provide hot water at all times. A washing machine/dryer is available upon request to guests and is for the sole use of Puffin's Burrow guests. This is situated in the main residence garage. The property also has the benefit of a security alarm and beam system. A safe is available in the main residence for any valuables. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk is initially provided upon check-in. Please speak to your host if you run out of anything. One bag of firewood is available after which more can be provided at an additional fee. 2 Beach Towels are provided for your stay. We will consider any special requests i.e. flowers, champagne/wine, or chocolates for that special occasion. Price upon request.
