The Watermill Cabin

Nestled among ancient pines, the 50-year-old cabin stands on the banks of the Broederstroom River, overlooking a magical waterfall. A 2km gravel road drive from Haenertsburg. ( Accessible to most cars, not sports cars) will bring you to the charming cabin. A double story with the bedroom on the first floor ( mind the steps) and the fully self-catering living space and bathroom, downstairs. A few feet from the cabin, you will have your own private deck with braai facilities. Enjoy! The space The cabin is double story. The bedroom (one queen size bed) is upstairs. (please note the steps) Fully self-catering kitchen and bathroom (shower ) downstairs. Additional bathroom outside, also with a shower. Wifi: Unfortunately, there is no wifi at the cabin. But most restaurants in the area have uncapped wifi if there's any urgent work that needs to be done. Electricity: Although we don't have loadshedding, power supply to the whole Haenertsburg area gets fragile when we encounter winds or heavy rain (due to pine trees touching the wires) The cabin does not have a generator, please plan accordingly. There is a gas stove, water supply won't be interrupted and a rechargeable light will be next to the bed when the power goes our. Power is normally restored within a couple of hours. Braai area: Wood will be supplied for one or 2 fires. Additional wood can be bought at most stores in Haenertsburg. When using the Weber, please move it to the grass to prevent the coals from burning the deck please. Guest access Guest have access to the entire cabin area. Hiking on the property is allowed with prior arrangement with the host. Other things to note Please note that photos may vary from actually scenery, depending on the season. ( Winter time a little less green that in summer). The property is a working farm so you might encounter sheep when driving into the farm, please slow down and give them a chance to move along. When hiking, you might encounter small wildlife like Duiker and Bushbuck, they are friendly but still wild animals, so don't approach.
