The Grand Escape- Affordable Cabin, Great Location

Our rustic getaway is a wonderfully located retreat with abundant wildlife around. The cabin is a five minute drive to historic Grand Lake Village or Rocky Mountain National Park. We LOVE it - you will too! The space The cabin has two bedrooms on the bottom level (one with a queen bed, one with bunk beds), one bedroom on the middle level (queen bed) and a loft bedroom (one double bed and two twin beds). There is also a fold-out queen sleeper and inflatable kids mattresses are available for flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The basement bedrooms have wood doors for privacy but they do not lock, for safety purposes. Please note that as the house has three levels, there are stairs to climb. The staircase from downstairs is wood with carpet stair pads. The staircase to the loft is spiral and may require adult supervision for small children. Guest access Guests have access to a propane bbq and outdoor firepit. (Firewood is not provided but can be bought in town.) Please note that, at times due to weather or other risks, the HOA or county will issue fire bans which may limit the use of the firepit. Also, it is important to understand that Columbine Lake is a private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are not allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake. Other things to note The cabin is well-stocked with board games, cards and even an X-box Kinect. There are two large flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Please note that we also use the cabin as often as we can so we have personal belongings there. We make sure to leave open shelves, free closet hangers, a pantry cabinet and two refrigerators for your use. For winter rentals, renters must be comfortable operating a snowblower to clear the driveway and paths. Renters must also be capable of shoveling the deck and steps.
