Second bedroom has two bunk beds (they equal 4 twin size beds). Both bedrooms have air conditioners. While our main focus is to offer our guests comfortable lodging at the lowest rate possible, with as many amenities as we can provide in our units, please understand that we face limitations in acquiring many items on the island. Culebra is a pristine, undeveloped destination, offering a more rustic experience without the luxuries and amenities found in many other tourist spots. It’s perfect for travelers who appreciate and cherish the natural beauty of the land and sea, rather than seeking a luxurious getaway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The property is perched on a hill, and that elevation is exactly what gives you those incredible panoramic views that make this stay so magical. Because of this hillside location, the driveway and parking area are on a steep incline. Golf carts can make it up, but we highly recommend renting a standard vehicle. It not only makes getting to the house easier, but also allows you to explore the island more comfortably, especially if you're planning to visit Culebra’s stunning beaches. In case of rain, a vehicle also keeps you dry and safe, and many of the island’s roads are simply not golf-cart friendly, particularly in more remote or uneven areas. Guest access This is a private apartment with its large private balcony. There is parking in front of building. You will receive a message with your arrival instructions and door code on your check-in date. These instructions will be emailed to you once housekeeping has confirmed the unit is clean and ready for your stay. Check-in: After 4:00 PM Check-out: Before 11:00 AM If you happen to arrive in Culebra before your check-in time, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the property until you have received the notification, as this ensures the comfort of our current guests and allows our housekeeping team to complete their work uninterrupted. Please note that, due to the unique nature of Culebra Island, Google Maps and the Airbnb mapping system may not provide precise directions to the property. Other things to note There are stairs to access the apartment. This apartment is located in the second floor. We provide Beach towels and Beach Chairs for our guests. NOTE:IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT POWER OUTAGES: Puerto Rico, including Culebra and Vieques, has been experiencing intermittent power outages due to ongoing repairs to the island's electrical grid. Culebra’s power comes from the main island via underwater cables, but the island has its own generators that activate during outages. Typically, outages are short-lived. Culebra’s Generators are turned on once the cause of the outage is determined for the safety of the residents. Culebra, due to its remote location approximately 17 miles off the mainland of Puerto Rico, offers a more tranquil, natural experience. While this is part of its charm, it also means that we may experience occasional power and water pressure fluctuations. These surges can sometimes cause damage to appliances such as water heaters, internet routers, air conditioners, televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, coffee makers, televisions, and other similar equipment. Please note that due to the island’s isolation, repairs or replacements of such items may take several weeks or even months, which can affect the consistency of these amenities.
