Welcome to our fantastic suite in the vaulted basement of our monumental farmhouse, built in 1825. Between the South Limburg hills and a stone's throw from bustling Maastricht. We have transformed this space into a residence with 2 luxurious bedrooms, a bathroom and even a private kitchen! Enjoy a drink and sleep in the most unique and cozy suite in the area. With beautiful views over the Limburg hills outside, and if you're lucky, you'll see a roe deer walking! The space Come and enjoy a wonderful weekend getaway at our unique location, set in a historic farmhouse from 1825, surrounded by countryside and full of possibilities! Step outside and you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the beautiful rolling hills of South Limburg. The most scenic cycling and hiking routes start right at our front door. The American War Cemetery is just 1.5 km from our location, and you're also just a stone’s throw from Maastricht (about 7 km). You can easily get there by bike, car, or bus (the bus stop is only 300 meters away). And if you ask Suzanne nicely, she might even offer you a ride. :) Our apartment is perfect for all kinds of stays: Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away, want to explore the culinary delights of Maastricht, enjoy the beautiful Heuvelland, or go biking or hiking, you’ll find it all here. Each bedroom features a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed with a memory foam topper. The beds can also be separated into two single beds if preferred. Note: The second bedroom is available at an additional cost. So whether you’re planning a weekend escape with your partner, friends, colleagues, or your hiking or cycling buddies — it’s all possible here! Guest access With us you have at your disposal: a unique cozy kitchen, private bathroom, luxury bedroom (the 2nd bedroom is for rent at an additional cost) For up to 4 people. Extra baby cot can be booked for free. A seating area outside with unobstructed views, free parking. The entire floor has underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation and free WiFi. Please note: This is a beautifully renovated basement, which can only be reached via a staircase! And because it is a basement, there is little daylight. In one room, a dormer has been made, so that a little more daylight shines in, in the other room, there are only 2 small windows near the ceiling. However, there is plenty of the right atmosphere! We have deliberately chosen not to place a TV in the bedrooms - In the kitchen, you will imagine yourself in a wine cellar with its vaulted ceilings, marl and field fire walls. This kitchen has a full kitchen inventory, beautiful ceramic tableware, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, oven, kettle, Nespresso machine and milk frother. - A unique bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Luxury bath items and towels are waiting for you. The design of this bathroom has taken special care to preserve the original elements. Fun fact: My husband grew up on this farm and wrote his name in the marl as a child. When renovating the marl, we left these names in place and they can still be admired. - A total of 2 luxurious bedrooms, tastefully decorated with an eye for detail, a king-size bed that is made up for you on arrival. In both bedrooms, the beds can be pushed apart to form 2 separate single beds - A lovely outdoor seating area with unobstructed views of the Limburg hills and Europe's largest flint bank "the Wolfskop" which is 600m from our farm. This is a geological monument that is passed by several well-known hiking trails. During your stay We live with our family above this beautiful vacation suite, so for questions or info you can always come to us. In addition, I can be reached by phone. You have your own entrance, but you can meet us or the children outside :) Our 3 boys love soccer and trampoline jumping, so occasionally you can hear a ball bounce ;) I really enjoy having you stay with us and am also happy to tell you about the area. I have plenty of tips for fun trips, museums or addresses for nice restaurants and bars nearby! Other things to note To be paid on site: tourist tax 3.00 per person per night, for guests from 6 years of age. We do not provide breakfast. Our beautiful holiday suite is located in a vaulted basement. Although there is floor heating and mechanical ventilation, sometimes there may be a slightly higher humidity. This is related to the weather conditions. Smoking is not permitted indoors, but it is of course permitted outdoors! Also candles, incense etc. are not allowed. Suzanne has provided the entire vacation suite with beautiful LED candles (almost indistinguishable from real ones) so that it is always just as atmospheric!
