Welcome to our fantastic suite in the vaulted cellar of our monumental farmhouse, built in 1825. Between the South Limburg hills and just a stone's throw away from the vibrant city of Maastricht. We have transformed this cellar into a luxurious space with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a private kitchen! Enjoy delightful evenings in the most unique and atmospheric suite in the area. Outside, revel in the beautiful views over the Limburg hills. If you're lucky, you might even spot a deer passing by! Step outside and you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the beautiful rolling hills of South Limburg. The most scenic cycling and hiking routes start right at our front door. The American War Cemetery is just 1.5 km from our location, and you're also just a stone’s throw from Maastricht (about 7 km). You can easily get there by bike, car, or bus (the bus stop is only 300 meters away). And if you ask Suzanne nicely, she might even offer you a ride. :) Our apartment is perfect for all kinds of stays: Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away, want to explore the culinary delights of Maastricht, enjoy the beautiful Heuvelland, or go biking or hiking, you’ll find it all here. Each bedroom features a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed with a memory foam topper. The beds can also be separated into two single beds if preferred. Note: The second bedroom is available at an additional cost. So whether you’re planning a weekend escape with your partner, friends, colleagues, or your hiking or cycling buddies — it’s all possible here! Guest access At our place, you’ll have access to: a unique and atmospheric kitchen, a private bathroom, and a luxurious bedroom (a second bedroom is available for an additional fee). Suitable for up to 4 guests. A baby cot can be added free of charge. There is an outdoor seating area with unobstructed views and free parking. The entire floor is equipped with underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation, and free Wi-Fi. Please note: This is a beautifully renovated basement, accessible only via stairs! And because it is a basement, natural daylight is limited. One room has a light well that allows in some extra daylight, while the other room only has two small windows near the ceiling. However, there is plenty of atmospheric lighting throughout! We have intentionally chosen not to place TVs in the bedrooms. In the kitchen, you’ll feel like you’re in a wine cellar with its vaulted ceilings and marl and field-fired brick walls. The kitchen is fully equipped with all essentials, beautiful ceramic tableware, a ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, fridge, oven, kettle, Nespresso machine, and milk frother. A unique bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Luxury toiletries and towels are provided for your comfort. The design of this bathroom specifically preserves original elements of the space. Fun fact: My husband grew up on this farm and as a child carved his name into the marlstone. While restoring the marl, we kept these carvings intact – they can still be seen today! Two luxurious bedrooms in total, each stylishly decorated with attention to detail. A king-size bed awaits you, made up upon arrival. In both rooms, the beds can be separated into two single beds if preferred. A lovely outdoor seating area with uninterrupted views of the rolling Limburg hills and Europe’s largest flint bank, “De Wolfskop,” located just 600 meters from our farm. This geological monument is part of several well-known hiking routes. During your stay We live with our family above this beautiful holiday suite, so you can always come to us with questions or for information. Additionally, I am reachable via phone. I think's it very enjoyable when you come to stay with us and I also love sharing about the surroundings. I have plenty of tips for fun day trips, musea or recommendations for nice restaurants and bars nearby! Other things to note To be paid on-site: tourist tax 3,- per person per night, for guests aged 6 and above. We do not provide brekfast. Our beautiful holiday suite is located in a vaulted cellar. Although there is underfloor heating and mechanical ventilation, sometimes there can be slightly higher humidity. This is due to the weather conditions. Smoking indoors is not permitted, but you are welcome to smoke outside! Also, candles, incense, etc., are not allowed. Suzanne has decorated the entire B&B with beautiful LED candles (hardly distinguishable from real ones) to ensure it's always charming and cozy!
