Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish eco retreat. Fiddle Hill Cottage is hand built from local wood and has double height windows to make the most of the views of nature on the Croft. The cottage is light and also cosy, helped by a log burner and underfloor heating. It’s well insulated & powered by solar. Water is supplied from a natural spring. The open plan living space is comfy & eclectic, the kingsize bed a luxurious treat, and the bathroom has a freestanding bath & rainshower. The space Fiddle Hill Cottage is a peaceful romantic retreat or a family friendly stay for all seasons. It’s an A frame lodge, open plan, light and airy in the warmer months, warm and cosy for winter. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a firepit plus bbq for outside cooking & sturdy outdoor furniture for eating/relaxing. The garden is enclosed and dogs are welcome (£30 per dog). The cottage is surrounded by a wooden deck, there’s a wildlife pond and the sound and sight of birds is pretty much guarenteed. The mezzanine kingsize bedroom has views through the glass wall (eyemasks available for summer mornings) . The bunkroom & luxury bathroom are downstairs. Both bunks are sturdy enough for adult or kids. A practical bootroom/utility means that muddy stuff can be left at the door. For cottage entertainment (or work!) there’s superfast fibre broadband, plus a smart tv, bose speaker, books, board games and an outdoor ping pong table plus 2 ebikes that can be borrowed by guests when the weather is kind. Guest access The cottage is a standalone building with enclosed garden and separate enclosed pond located on our 5 acre Scottish Borders Croft. Guests have full access to the cottage and garden. There’s an outside storage cupboard for guests bikes & stuff too Other things to note We offer a minimum of 2 nights stay in low season, and 3 nights stay during the summer season.
