We offer a self-contained King-size bedroom/sitting room and bathroom with private access in the historic and pretty village of Folkingham. Amenities include fridge, tea & coffee, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, key box, large bath with shower attachment and underfloor heating throughout. Village pub food is great and shop well stocked. Handy for Lincoln, Stamford, Belton & Burghley Houses plus other historic sites. The space Come into the arched porch, flowers on the wall to your left, and through the wooden gates into the enclosed passageway. The East Wing is on your right through the grey wooden door. Walk into the Living Room (the first of the two rooms included in this listing) which has a leather sofa in front of an exposed stone wall, ottoman, steel shelves for books/magazines, tray table, and Refreshment Station* (cereal, crockery & cutlery, kettle, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, biscuits/crisps/popcorn and mini fridge containing milk and water for drinking and use in the kettle). In this room is also a fully-dressed King-size bed alongside tables and lamps, Cheval mirror, clothes rail and shelves, windows with wooden blinds & curtains, and underfloor heating throughout. The Smart TV is wall-mounted for ease, and free Wi-Fi is available. From the Living Room enter the second of the two rooms included in this listing which is the Bathroom. The large bath has a waterfall mixer tap and shower attachment, and the basin (integrated into a wall unit also housing the WC) has a waterfall mixer tap. There are shelves in the stone wall for spare towels and bath mats, a heated towel rail, and underfloor heating throughout, and a roller blind on the frosted glass window. An extractor fan, operable only when the bathroom light is also on, must be used when washing or bathing. * Allergen information is provided for cereals/crisps/popcorn but not for all biscuits/other snacks Guest access Spaces for guest use are: 🐒 on-street parking anywhere outside the property or in the village square 🐒 entrance passageway to property 🐒 living room /bedroom 🐒 bathroom Other things to note FOLKINGHAM The historic village of Folkingham, included in the Domesday Book, has its own pub, The New Inn, serving food and drinks, and small Corner Shop, selling groceries and newspapers. The opening times for both can be provided upon request (as they may change throughout the year). Pub Dining: Tues-Thurs 12-8pm Fri &Sat 12-9pm Sun 12-5pm Places of interest in the village: 🐒 The Greyhound, found at the top of the Market Place, dates back to the 17th Century and was once a Coaching Inn on the main route between London and Lincoln. Now it houses luxury apartments. 🐒 The moated mound (still visible today) of the medieval castle that once stood there later became the site of the House of Correction, the Grand Entrance to which is the only surviving feature and now owned by the Landmark Trust. 🐒 The Millennium Orchard, found at the bottom of the village adjacent to the Village Hall, is a peaceful, green space developed by the village for the village, and is filled with apple trees and benches and hosts the Folkingham Feastival in July each year. 🐒 There are many public footpaths leading from the village some of which cross fields and link up with neighbouring villages. NEIGHBOURING VILLAGES 🐒 Billingborough (3.3 miles) has a variety of amenities including grocery shops (Coop & Nisa), a newsagent, doctors surgery (on the site of an artesian spring & duck pond), Post Office, primary school, a pub (Fortescue Arms), and Fish & Chip shop. 🐒 Osbournby (3 miles) has a pub (Whichcote Arms) and attached is a Courtyard Cafe (including breakfast service) and Farm Shop. 🐒 Aswarby
