Description
Escape to the enchanting Welsh countryside with a stay in our Derwen bell tent (+ awning) offering a cosy retreat with a double bed (option for 1-2 camping beds) and rustic décor; a perfect blend of comfort & charm. You’ll have your own composting toilet, shower with eco-friendly toiletries, BBQ (utensils provided) & fire pit area. Plus enjoy shared amenities like a well-equipped glamping kitchen & an additional kitchen/lounge area. Unwind & explore the serene landscapes of West Wales. The space Unwind after a day of exploring and adventuring in the countryside with a stay in our 4m bell tent Derwen, named after the Welsh word for 'oak' to pay homage to the beautiful old oak tree that stands tall at the heart of our glamping & camping site in rural West Wales. Derwen has a double bed and two optional camping beds, sleeping up to four people (ideally two adults and two children). You'll have your own private composting toilet and shower, plus a well-equipped glamping kitchen with cool boxes and freezer packs for your own personal use, and your own dedicated fire pit. All beds will be made ready for you, so no need to bring any bedding with you. We even provide a throw should you get chilly at night. The glamping kitchen has a double gas burner with toasting option, pots and pans, plates, mugs, glasses and even wine glasses provided. We provide sustainably sourced firewood in addition to kindling, fire starters & fire lighter, for a cosy evening by the crackling fire. Not to mention the amazing views! We also provide some basics, including sunflower oil, olive oil, tea, coffee and sugar, plus kitchen roll, cling film, foil and tea towels, to make things a little easier. You will also have use of your own BBQ, please let us know if you need to purchase any charcoal. You also have access to our shared camping kitchen area just off the parking area, and our rustic & relaxing lounge, where you’ll find all the essentials to prepare delicious meals, including a large griddle with three independent burners, a kettle and toaster, plus cutlery, utensils and tableware. Access to a large fridge freezer is also available in the camping kitchen. Guest access Our two bell tents (well spaced apart) in their own large field, which overlooks our Enchanted Oak with its swings and seating with views over the Aeron valley - a perfect spot to sit and read or chill. Parking is provided, with a walk up to the glamping field. Help can be provided with your bags etc if needed. Other things to note If you have difficulty walking then unfortunately our bell tents are not for you, as you will need to walk up to the tent. Please get in touch first if you aren't sure, and we are more than happy to answer any questions. It's dark up at the tents, but a lamp is provided in the tent, with motion-sensor solar lights in your toilet and solar lights in the shower (on/off remote). A small power pack is provided in your tent, which should keep your phones charged.
