Enjoy this cozy suite on the ground floor of our family log home. We are located in the middle of 40 acres of woodlands so it's remote and quiet (aside from our rambunctious children) . The Granny Suite has its own private entrance, in floor heating, a walk in closet, a private bathroom with heated towel rack, and a kitchenette. There is a king size bed, two stools at the breakfast bar and two sitting chairs in the living space. We are happy to provide a playpen for infants/toddlers. Whether you are glamping under the stars in a luxury tent, relaxing in the cozy lower suite of our beautiful log home, or experiencing a unique stay in our custom-built 2-story tiny house (with more log cabin-style bunkies coming soon!), this is the ultimate launchpad. Over 90% of our guests use our property as their home base to explore the iconic parks over a 3 to 7-day stay! Incredible Views & Epic National Park Access 🗺️ Enjoy amazing views of the surrounding mountains and explore our private on-property trails. We are perfectly positioned for day trips to Canada's most famous sights: Yoho National Park: ~30 minutes to the park boundary, ~50 minutes to the main attractions Banff National Park & Lake Louise: Easy day trips for world-class hiking and sightseeing Jasper National Park: Accessible for the ultimate scenic drive up the world renowned Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93 North). Local Golden Adventures 🛶 Want to stay closer to home? We’ve got you covered: Golden Skybridge: Only a 5-minute drive! Golden: 15 minutes away for groceries, downtown dining, and breweries. Outdoor Action: Explore the nearby Blaeberry backcountry, hit Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, or enjoy incredible hiking and cross-country skiing right out our front door. The Property Vibe & Our Pups 🐾 We are proudly dog-friendly! You will likely meet our four friendly dogs who love to roam the woods. Unfortunately cats are not allowed on our property. The property is very quiet and remote, giving you a true off the grid feel. Note: A 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended in the winter months! Pardon Our Dust (We're Growing!) 🚧 We are constantly expanding and improving the acreage. You will notice ongoing development, construction activities, and materials on the property as we build out our new units. We're always building something new to make the guest experience even better! Exciting Upgrades! ✨ Private propane fire pits are ready to go, and we are thrilled to announce that a brand-new shared hot tub will be ready for guests arriving in July 2026! Guest access You are welcome to explore our land and walk the roads and paths we have created. Some of our neighbouring property also have trails you can wander- feel free to ask us or just head out and explore! We are hoping in future years to create some cross country trails, but for now can point you in the direction of cheap or free trails nearby! Other things to note Our driveway in to our home is a kilometre long once you turn off of the Golden Donald Upper road. It is a bit hilly. In the winter my husband plows the road, however it can still be a bit slick, for this we recommend 4x4 vehicles. The utility room to the building and whole property can only be accessed through the bathroom of the Granny Suite. On certain occasions we do need to access the utility room, such as in case of power outages or issues with the water.
