The Chalet has 3 separate, spacious Studio Suites. This Garden Suite has a priv. entrance, kitchenette, dining/living area, 2 bedrooms and bthrm/shwr. It is on the ground-level. Complimentary Bfast items en-Suite. WiFi/Direct TV. Campfire area/Private Hottub time. (We hope for a 2-night or longer stay). (We sadly have a no-pet policy, as many Guests have allergies). We most want to reassure you that we are cleaning & disinfecting, strictly according to CDC and AirBnB Guidelines. The Garden Suite is on the Ground-floor. When entering there is a dining/kitchen area, then two bedrooms, each with a Full bed and then a private bath (with glass-enclosed shower). Linens & quilts are provided; towels & toiletries are provided. There is a full compliment of dishware, silverware and glassware. There is a microwave, refrigerator (with freezer compartment), coffee pot/grinder and wide-sliced toaster (no oven/stove, as per regulations). There is complimentary Gourmet coffee, natural teas, cocoa and a s’mores kit, to enjoy... Guests will have access to the beautiful park-like setting. There is a campfire area, with complimentary kindling and wood. There is a Hottub in a private area for private scheduling. It is located "under the stars"; yet, with protection from old-growth trees. (There is further information related to the lockbox and code, under the “check-in instructions listed below). Ralph and I are available to share ideas about what to see and where to hike in the area. We enjoy meeting and learning from guests, as well. We also provide a Welcome Notebook, in each Suite, with your WiFi password and information on restaurants, trails and sights-to-see...the Notebook has over 35-pages of hikes and sights (written by a woman, who hiked the area for years). It is very helpful. Please see above, for an overview of the area...it is a very magical destination... We are only about 1 1/2 hours from Seattle; yet, we are in a country-setting by Mt. Rainier. We don't have a transit system in our area, so automobiles, motorcycles or bicycles are needed... There are winter activities from about November through April. There is a sports store, 1/2 mile from our Inn, where you can reasonably rent snow equipment. In the National Park, there are trails near Longmire and Paradise, where there is sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snow-boarding. Then, in the late Spring through to early Autumn, there are many hiking trails. The Welcome Notebook highlights the many, amazing trails. The Skyline Trail, at Paradise, is one of the favorite trails. Also, the trail at Reflection Lake near Paradise. Some guests will even hike to Camp Muir (at 10,000 feet) and others will work on ascents to the top of Mt. Rainier. There is also amazing sight-seeing, so something for everyone. We are located only 1/2 of a mile west of the little mountain village of Ashford. There are two small grocery stores there; an exemplar Sports Store (with rental equipment); a Pottery Shoppe; two Espresso Shops (one with ice cream), as well as, several restaurants to enjoy. During late autumn, winder and early spring, there are three restaurants. There is the Copper Creek Restaurant about 4 miles east of us (rustically/elegant, wide selection of menu items, moderately-priced); the Paradise Village Restaurant about 2 miles east of us, with bakery items, crepes and Ukrainian/Western menu options; then, there is the National Park Restaurant, at Longmire (into the Park 6 miles, excellent, moderately-proved)...you may order beverages and/or meals and even enjoy them on their wide, front porch overlooking the Mountain. Then, in the late spring, summer and early autumn, there are two other restaurants added to the above. There is the Wildberry, about 4 miles east of us, with Himalayan/Western meals and also the Basecamp Bar and Grill, about 1/ miles east of us, with gourmet salads, wraps, hamburgers, pizza, brews and wine. We are so fortunate to have this variety of restaurants, in a small area. Also, we are located only six miles from the main entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, where the road remains open 365 days a year...into the Park, there are the Longmire and Paradise areas (truly magical). You will quite likely have an amazing experience...please keep referring to our Welcome Notebook, in your Suite.
