Escape and unwind at our 13-acre rural retreat, atop rolling hills with stunning coastal and farmland views. Soak up the country air and cosy in by the fire after a day exploring quaint villages, beautiful beaches, excellent wineries and eateries, art galleries, and live music, all just a short scenic drive away. Privately situated from the main farm house, and with it’s tranquil setting, the guesthouse is perfect for a weekend retreat for couples and solo travellers looking for some R&R. The space The guesthouse is spacious and open plan with a pitched ceiling and a cozy central wood heater (firewood provided seasonally) and a reverse cycle split system if you prefer. There is a comfy queen-sized bed with quality linen and a lounge area where you can take in the farm and valley from large windows, or watch the cows graze as the sun goes down from the front undercover patio. The kitchenette provides a toaster, kettle, small microwave, induction cooktop and fridge. All necessary cutlery and crockery provided. Tea, coffee (plunger with ground espresso), milk and some pantry staples (salt, pepper, olive oil, muesli, Vegemite) are also complimentary. The guesthouse has a separate indoor dining area and outdoor setting with security lighting and Weber BBQ. There is a modern separate bathroom with large shower, sink and toilet. Inside all is easily accessible on a single level, however please note that the property is situated on a steep hillside and there is a single small step up and down into the front door of the guesthouse. Please ask us about travelling with your baby or young child as we can accommodate them. Great phone reception and fast Wifi available. Guest access The entire guesthouse is accessible and the surrounding garden. Please do not enter the paddocks. Other things to note We operate on tank water only and are conscious of our property’s environmental footprint, so please be mindful in consumption of resources. The guesthouse is surrounded by farmland and bushland so there are likely to be animal noises at times during your stay, and encounters with local wildlife. Pets are not permitted. However please note our dog Willie (a friendly bordoodle, will likely wander down to meet you), chooks in the garden or coop and sheep in the paddock (with lambs in Spring)! As we are a rural property, shops and services are not within walking distance. However we are conveniently located centrally to many townships and attractions by car. Some of our favourites include: - 7 minutes from the township of Korrumburra and the Great Southern Rail Trail. - 15 minutes to Fleet Wines Cellar Door 10 minutes to Harman Wines - 10 minutes to Kongwak and the popular Sunday Kongwak Market - 15 minutes to Inverloch and surrounding beaches - 20 minutes to the quaint village of Loch - 25 minutes to Meeniyan with lots to places to eat and check out for food and local produce.
