On the banks of the Penobscot River, the Fox Den is a relaxing apartment on the water, centrally located to all that Downeast has to offer: 20-minutes from Bangor; 30 minutes to Ellsworth or Belfast; 60 minutes to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor or Camden; 4 minutes to Bucksport, where you'll find a number of eateries, shops, pharmacy, supermarket, and the Bucksport River Walk with front-on views of Fort Knox and The Penobscot Narrows Observatory Bridge. Civility in the hinterlands! :D The space Our property, monikered “RavensTree House,” sits on 1.6 acres along the Penobscot River, with 400-feet of riverfront. The “Fox Den” is a fully-contained 1 bdrm/1 bath apartment with its own private entry ramp and screened porch. As Hosts, we live above the Fox Den, and maintain a low-key profile and lifestyle. The gardens are free to roam! Guest access A “Welcome!” letter, along with a private 4-digit entry code, will be sent within 48-hours of the arrival date. Other things to note There is absolutely no cooking of seafood in the apartment! A violation will incur a $300 cleaning fee. Cooking seafood on the outdoor grill is totally fine.
