This is an unusually oversized 1 Bedroom /1 Bath Spanish style home ( 1000 square ft, so more the size of a 2 bedroom) , light and airy with high, coved ceilings and 1921 Bachelder fireplace. Coveted free parking space in front of the home for your car. The living room is 20 by 32 ft, the bedroom is 16/18 f . Large L- shaped eat-in kitchen with washing machine. Hardwood floors throughout, tile bath. Please note the the bathroom is off the bedroom. Ceiling to floor windows in the living room. Wireless internet is extremely reliable throughout the apartment. The space is suitable for one to three people, though incredibly large, and wonderful for people that are here for work and education. In addition to comfy queen bed, there's a full size futon in the living room. (and queen-size air bed if needed), Fast wireless internet throughout; DirectTV cable and showtime channels. Small patio and flowers, property has a lime tree, climbing roses and a back garden shared by neighbors. This is an amazing neighborhood -- the historic Hollywood district, full of lore, yet this is a completely residential street with friendly, longtime neighbors. This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Hollywood. A lot of the houses are Spanish revival, Craftsman bungalows and the usual Los Angeles mix. Off street parking in driveway right in front of the apartment. Very safe and quiet and only a 6 minute walk to center of Hollywood. Equidistant between 2 metro stations. (Hollywood and Vine and Hollywood and Highland). Buses 1 block from apt, on Santa Monica Blvd, transfers to beach area and elsewhere. This is a very central neighborhood in LA, equidistant to everything else. short walk to: Hollywood and Vine, the Capitol building, Avalon, the Hollywood and Highland complex, Gruaman's Chinese theatre, Arclight cinema, grocery stores,numerous cafes and restaurants, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Roosevelt Hotel and largest Southern Cal. Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings at Ivar and Cahuenga. The apartment is one block from the Theatre District. Life Food Organic, TenderGreens, Mozza for great pizza, Hudson Cafe, Cafe de Solar (great internet cafe), and tons of other great eateries. Comfy, roomy internet cafe 1 block away in Santa Monica Blvd: Hudson Cafe and the theatre district The location is perfect for visiting the Hollywood area, Universal Studios - 3 miles north, is accessible with a five minute metro ride-- and also central to visit other LA communities including Larchmont, WeHo, The Farmer's market at Third and Fairfax, the Grove, Los Feliz, Downtown, The North East side (NELA), the Valley, Griffith Park, Runyon Canyon and the beach. Entire apartment, all the kitchen amenities and most cabinets in the kitchen, Guest will also have their own designated closet that includes: drawers, a clothing rod, and a window; space to hang clothing, tons of hangers and space to keep suitcases out of the way. Basically a nice walk in closet with light. You have access to the washing machine in the laundry room as well as laundry detergent. ( Please do not use at night) Things dry very quickly in our weather; there's a pull out drying rack for your use! I am usually here to greet you, and hopefully to see you off. I give my guests as much space as they need, but I like to check in occasionally, if it's a long stay, I also like to check in and see how you are getting on. I love this neighborhood, and many who know of it or find out about it agree that it's a find. It's a great residential neighborhood with long time tenants and owners who love it so much that it becomes home for good. It's very safe, diverse, and very close to things. You get the feeling you are in the center of things. I would prefer to live in this neighborhood than any other in LA because of my neighbors and the vibe on this block! There are many old style Hollywood bungalows and guests houses. Though New Hollywood is being generated up the street, this is part of Old Hollywood. The are is hip, urban and mildly bohemian. It's close to the media district, with many re-purposed loft buildings, studios, post production and galleries. You are very close to all the new happenings near Sunset /Vine/Hollywood Blvd and all the new development. The public transit is plentiful -- buses, subway and two metro stations: Hollywood and Vine, and Hollywood and Highland. Both are about a 10-15 minute walk. Buses are far closer, and can also take you to the metro. It's a 5-6 minute walk to the center of all things Hollywood, stores and the Walk of Fame Uber and Lyft have pick up times of two minutes!-- there's no where that you can't get to from this conveniently located neighborhood, and in this particular part of Hollywood there is very less congestion. The apartment is very comfortable and centrally located. The space is great for a single or two people on work trips and business. I prefer not to have visitors come to the apartment so contact me if there is anything other than the people booking. In addition, there will be a cleaning schedule every two weeks. The cleaner is $90 which I will split with the guest. ( this is for a stay of longer than 3 weeks). Please make sure that you understand this point. Although I love that people pick up after themselves, the cleaning covers dusting and details to do with the apartment itself, that if unattended during long term stays just put us sub par, and I want my listing to be optimum! Mail cannot be sent or accepted at the apartment. Please have an alternative mailing address and legal alternative address. I cannot accommodate infants, children or pets at this time. I want to make sure that people have READ all my notes: If you ask for a discount, it means you haven't read this note and I will send an automated response and the booking will be declined. In other words, please don't ask me for a discount. In reading the description and by booking, guests for 3 weeks or more agrees to the cleaning fee and schedule. Beginning in 2020, For stays longer than 1 month, guests will be required to sign a shared agreement, and /or rebook dates every month to extend their stay with hosts permission. Guests must have reviews and be previous users to stay past 30 days. (please see no mail clause) Neighbors: please be respectful of neighbors.
