No7 Drummond Street, Comrie

Description

No 7 Drummond Street was the first cottage built in Comrie back in 1786! So if you fancy staying in an original piece of history that's over 200 years old then No 7 is the property for you. This wee cottage oozes so much charm you won't want to leave. This beautiful cottage was completely refurbished in 2021 with the guest experience and comfort at the forefront. The property is the ideal base to explore the famous village of Comrie and the surrounding beautiful Strathearn. The space The 2 bedroom cottage is kept cosy with modern electric heating and a super wood burning stove situated in the lounge. Both bedrooms are upstairs one bedroom is a twin and the other a double, the bedrooms have all amenities required to make your stay a memorable one. Downstairs is a large shower room and open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The 200 years old cottage is on the street front so you will hear some noise from the road. However during the night the village becomes a ghost town just in time for going to bed (apart from on Hogmanay when Comrie holds the famous Flambeaux) The cottage has a modern fully equipped large kitchen with a dining table that adequately accommodates 6 persons in case you fancy having some friends round for dinner whilst staying. What can I say about the bright spacious, welcoming lounge with the afore mentioned wood burning stove! Yes you can watch your Netflix or Amazon series on our TV at No7! Plus SKY free view channels! We also provide many books and board games for you to use during your stay hopefully adding to your guest experience. Due to the cottage age and original features that have been left as we feel these add to her charm of being perfectly imperfect. Outside there is a slabbed patio area with picnic bench and BBQ for guests to use. The garden isn't enclosed so if you have dogs or young children they will need to be supervised at all times. Guest access Guests can access all of the cottage. In the garden there is a fenced area which belongs to No9 owners plus they have 1 parking space. No7 has one allocated parking space, if you travel in more than one car then the other car will need to park on the street front. Other things to note We ask that you follow the link sent by Betty at time of booking which explains how to use the recycling bins, what to do with your glass bottles and how to use the electrical appliances in the cottage. The link will also tell you about the restaurants and activities I highly recommend in the area. Some of them even offer Sleeping Betty guests a discount of 10% Please be aware there are parking restrictions on the main road now so minimum stay is 1-2hrs between 8-6pm. If you wish to use the wood burner please bring your own supply of logs and kindling We provide a coffee machine if you wish to use it, please provide your own coffee pods.
