Traditional Jura Cottage

Breath-taking views of fields, forests and limestone cliffs in a pretty traditional Jura village. A brook ,which is safely fenced off , runs beside one edge of the garden. There is always the soothing sound of water running over stones. Enjoy lovely walks from the front door; find meadows and woods full of wild flowers and birds including kites and buzzards. Swimming, climbing, canoeing and skiing are all available nearby in the rivers, lakes and mountains of the area. The space Attractive kitchen/living area with original flour press and baker’s table. Very well-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, cooker, dishwasher and microwave. At the rear of the kitchen is a comfortable sitting area with a small sofa, an antique pine dresser and a Godin wood burning stove. The kitchen is very well equipped but retains its original and attractive character. Large comfortable sitting room overlooking the stream with a wood burning stove, three large sofas, tables and chairs, jigsaws and games, television with English and French channels, CD player. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms- one ensuite with separate shower, bath, bidet basin and WC. Second bathroom with shower above the bath , basin and WC All three bedrooms have the original beams exposed and windows with picturesque views. Garden furniture , with plenty of cushions indoors, and barbeque. Outside , there is a medium sized garden with garden furniture and a sunny balcony with a great view of the cliffs & stream The house has an ample supply of ready cut logs in the barn and there is plenty of hot water. Parking for one car on site. Further cars are parked in the nearby square. We think that our home is a comfortable, relaxed French hide-away. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house: front balcony, kitchen, sitting room, back balcony garden. Upstairs, a large bedroom with a king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower, bidet, basin , WC. The second bedroom has one large bed and one single bed , suitable for a child ; second bathroom has a bath with shower, basin and WC. The large third bedroom , on the next floor, has two good-sized double beds.
