Rustic Contemporary Cabin on Pomme de Terre River

A true country retreat with a contemporary style, this cabin sits directly above the Pomme de Terre River. Within an hour of Branson, Stockton Lake, Pomme de Terre Lake, Taneycomo, Bull Shoals, Wheatland Race Track, Tablerock Lake, and Joplin. Within 30 min of Springfield, Bass Pro Shops Wildlife Museum & Aquarium, and the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Close to MSU and Drury colleges. Perfect for local area hunting and fishing, craft shows, Bass Pro and Branson visitors! The space Much of the lumber used to build this cabin was sawed by a family member, as were many of the crafty touches such as the quilts and fireplace. A one of a kind cabin in a tiny town, close to being off the grid. Never leave and sit on the wrap around deck or go explore nearby attractions, Branson and Springfield. Deer and turkeys can always be seen in the mornings, a beautiful eagles nest is on the property, so they are often out flying. (No hunting ON this property). This is a country cabin, so there are critters all around. Other things to note This is a second home, so there are personal effects there. Some photos, a junk drawer, a few clothes in a couple of drawers etc. So please expect that it will seem lived in, versus a home that is used only for Airbnb purposes with only the basics. There is a smart TV in the living area, but none in the bedrooms. There is an Apple TV, but no cable. There are a couple of games and some toys in one of the rooms. Please know and understand this cabin is in the country, and more specifically in the woods, and next to a body of water. Therefore, there is potential for critters and insects around and occasionally in the cabin. There is no clear path at this moment, to get to the river without some labor of fence climbing and getting through weeds. Guests are welcome to make that trek, but it’s not convenient, or easy to get there, even tho it will only take about a minute to get there. Please note ticks and other insect bites are likely (may want to bring spray regardless), and weeds are high.
