Ava’s Place

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Private bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and outdoor area within our family home. If you want to enjoy walks on the beach and some quality time in nature or maybe visit the local vineyards, then beautiful Waikuku Beach is the place to base yourself. We’re approx 1km from the beach with miles of white sand as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a walk along the Ashley River or coffee at one of the local cafes. We are 13 kms from the town of Rangiora. The space Our home was built in 2023 and the self contained bedroom/bathroom and kitchenette is secure and locked for your private use, there is no access to shared spaces. There is ample space to park in the area outside Ava’s Place. The room does not have a TV but you are welcome to bring downloaded movies/music etc with you. We have been told that the internet can be temperamental in that room but we have not personally experienced this, it has worked fine when we have been in there. There is a bistro style table and chairs (see photos) that can also be used as a workspace. The landscaping is a work in progress but this should not detract from your enjoyment of the indoor space and your outdoor area. We do live in the home so you may hear us in the house on occasion. We ask our guests to respect our home and treat it as they would treat their own home. There are laundry facilities at Woodend (10 mins drive), you are welcome to use the washing line close to your room to dry your clothes (pegs provided). Waikuku Beach has a general store with takeaway, surf school and picnic areas.
