You will stay exclusively in Casa Casco (the main house), a 255 m² open-plan masterpiece where a luxurious bedroom with a king-size bed seamlessly integrates with a spacious kitchen and living room. High, beamed ceilings and soft natural light create the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Just outside the main house is a small dipping pool (about 30 m³), the perfect place for a refreshing dip at any time of day. The private cenote on the property is just for you — a crystal-clear pool surrounded by jungle, perfect for morning swims, floating at sunset, or quiet moments with a book while butterflies flutter around you. A shaded terrace invites you to enjoy leisurely breakfasts with coffee, and outdoor spaces encourage long conversations under the stars. Three lovely dogs live on the property and are part of the family. They may bark occasionally at night – it's their way of keeping wild animals (such as deer or lizards) away so that you can sleep peacefully in the quiet countryside. The journey here is part of the adventure: about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Mérida, with the last 30 minutes on a scenic (and sometimes bumpy) dirt road that takes you into the heart of the peaceful Mayan countryside. You will return each evening to total silence and absolute privacy. It is just 10 minutes from the famous Cuzamá cenotes with carts, although most guests don't want to leave the property. In the event of unexpected visits from any "critter" guests, Chino is on hand to assist with their humane and safe removal, ensuring your comfort and peace of mind. For added security and assurance, a night keeper resides in an external room on the property, providing a watchful eye and assistance during the night hours, so you can rest easily and feel secure at all times during your stay at Cuch Balam.
