Right outside the main house, there is a small plunge pool (approximately 30 m³), the perfect spot for a refreshing dip at any time of day. The private cenote on the property is for you alone—an idyllic, crystal-clear pool surrounded by jungle, perfect for morning dips, floating at sunset, or quiet moments with a book while butterflies flutter around you. A shaded terrace invites you to enjoy leisurely breakfasts with coffee, and outdoor spaces encourage long conversations under the stars. Three lovely dogs live on the property and are part of the family. They may bark occasionally at night—it's their way of keeping wild animals (such as deer or lizards) away so you can sleep peacefully in the quiet countryside. Important note for a true digital detox experience: There is no Wi-Fi on the property. Cell phone service is spotty at best. It's designed like this: a place to completely disconnect, reconnect with each other, and immerse yourself in nature. Our remote location offers an immersion into nature's splendor, which includes a vibrant array of local wildlife. In the event of unexpected visits from any "critter" guests, Chino is on hand to assist with their humane and safe removal, ensuring your comfort and peace of mind. For added security and assurance, a night keeper resides in an external room on the property, providing a watchful eye and assistance during the night hours, so you can rest easily and feel secure at all times during your stay at Cuch Balam.
