Warm up and unwind in your private outdoor barrel sauna, build a fire out under the stars, binge watch your favorite shows, or simply sit back with your favorite beverage on the covered porch. Bring along the pups, we're pet friendly! Venture out and explore nearby small towns or stay in and relax. The cabin is just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 15 minutes from I-77. The space The cabin has one bedroom with comfy king sized bed along with a full bath, kitchen, living area and dining space. The highlight of the cabin is the outdoors. With a covered wraparound deck with rocking chairs and a glider, barrel sauna and fire pit - all with the peaceful creek as your backdrop - you'll feel your stress melt away! HIGHLIGHTS/DETAILS: - Private barrel sauna – unwind in your own personal retreat - One-bedroom with a king bed made with hotel-quality linens and en-suite full bath - Fully equipped kitchen with essential cookware, Keurig & drip coffee makers, and dining space - Living area with a 65” Roku TV (plus a 43” Roku TV in the bedroom) - Wraparound covered deck with rocking chairs, dining table, and creek views - rain or shine - soak up the creekside setting! - Fire pit w/ Adirondack chairs and a charcoal grill - enjoy cozy evenings under the stars (bring your own firewood and charcoal if you wish to use these amenities). - Fast Starlink WiFi (cell service can be spotty in the area, WiFi calling recommended) - Dog-Friendly: Bring up to two dogs. The deck has gates to keep them contained, and they’ll love exploring the property (not fenced). A pet fee applies. HEATING & COOLING: - An electric fireplace adds warmth and ambiance to both the bedroom and living area - Wall heater in bathroom - There is a mini split in the bedroom with heat and AC - A Kerosene heater in the living area keeps the living area cozy THINGS TO KNOW: - Sauna use is at your own risk. Follow all safety guidelines. - Pack light - we stock basic supplies that should last a long weekend (bring more for an extended stay) - toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, towels, cooking essentials, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. - Bring along some firewood or charcoal if you wish to use those amenities. - The creek has a steep grade to get down to so it’s recommended to view from the decks/yard. Enter at your own risk. - The driveway is gravel and runs parallel to the road. Some may think nothing of it but if you're not used to rural roads you may want to arrive in daylight to acclimate. - There is a second cabin on the property. It is a separate space with a carport and large pine tree in between. Guest access The entire home is available for your use other than a locked storage closet located in the bathroom as well as a storage shed and closet outside. They will not be accessed during your stay and will remain locked. Other things to note We do not stock firewood or charcoal so please bring along these items should you wish to utilize those amenities. All fires must be attended at all times. The house is cleaned thoroughly which includes regular pest control. As much as we'd like to keep insects outdoors, we are in the woods and they do make their way inside, especially in the fall and spring months. Stink bugs, spiders and Asian ladybeetles are most common. Guests enter/swim in the creek at their own risk. It is a steep grade down to the creek and no clear paths to enter. It is best taken in from the covered decks. Use of the barrel sauna is at your own risk. Winter in the mountains can bring snow and ice. Please ensure you have a vehicle that can handle these road conditions.
