You will enter the Loft on the 1st floor where the space opens up to a generous bed area well accompanied by modern concrete polished floors. The bed area shares the downstairs with a closet nook and full bath/laundry room. Head up the stairs to the open concept KLD (kitchen living dining) area. Natural light illuminates the space by well designed skylights and a magnificent North and East facing windows to take in the cityscape. There are homeless that occasionally roam around the front of property. They mostly stay to themselves but we ask our guest to be vigilant of your surroundings just like you would be in any other downtown location. The property is locked and gated but If you are not comfortable with the urban setting please do not book. We have other listings in a downtown neighborhood area just a few blocks from this one. Guest access ENTIRE LOFT make yourself at home and utilize the entire space. Mail Access: There is a small mail slot in attached to gate in front property to mail. It is serviced by USPS. We DO NOT recommend using USPS to receive mail while staying with us for packages. We have had issues with Short Term Rentals as USPS does not usually deliver packages and mail to the mailbox for Short Term Rentals. USPS will usually hold the mail/packages @ their closest Main Distribution Center for guest pickup. The best way to receive packages is via UPS or other outside logistics companies, delivering directly to the unit Number/Letter. We do not guarantee the safety or delivery of guest mail so please do so with this understanding. We are happy to answer any questions in regards to mail and help in any way we can. Other things to note STEEL BRIDGE HOMELESS SHELTER The property is backed up to a neighboring homeless transformation shelter. We have personally worked with the staff there and can tell you that they do a great job of keeping everything clean and orderly and are great people. Their property is also gated. There are homeless that may roam the area but they mostly keep to themselves. We have never experienced anything to be alarmed about. Our advice is to use good judgement and be vigilant just like you would be in any other downtown urban setting. PARKING Due to the dense nature of the lot we ask that the guest staying in Unit #1 park directly across the street at neighboring business parking lot. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the safety of offsite parking. The property is located in urban area so we ask that guest lock doors and take all important belongings out of vehicles before parking (If you are not comfortable with parking situation please do not book.) Guest may unload on the property then will have to park across the street. HEATING/COOLING During the transition from winter to summer it can get pretty hot in the unit as we do not transition to Swamp cooler till around the month of may. To stay cool we ask our guest to utilize opening the windows and using ceiling fan and fan provided. EARLY AND LATE CHECK-IN/OUT Upon request we may be able to accommodate early check-in or late check-out. It is more feasible to accommodate this if we are notified at least 3-5 days in advance so our cleaning team can work around the schedule. The guest will be charged (7$) for each additional hour added onto their check-in or check-out. Thank you PEST We want to be transparent with our guests, and it's worth noting that like many homes in our downtown setting, we do experience seasonal (early summer to late fall) visits from common pests (such as spiders, ants, and cockroaches). We take proactive measures and have our home professionally sprayed every month to minimize their presence. While we do our very best, occasionally a few might still make an appearance. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to ensuring you have a comfortable stay. If you do not feel comfortable with this please do not book.
