Sharing a few guidelines to help make their stay comfortable. Do carry your own pet bedding, blankets or throws, as we do not provide doggie beds. Do not forget their towels, water bowls, treats, and favorite toys to help them feel at home. Pets are not permitted to climb onto or sleep on beds, sofas, or other furniture. This helps us maintain a clean and comfortable space for all guests. Please clean up after your pets, both inside the villa (in case of accidents) and on the villa grounds. Please wipe off muddy paws and ensure they are sufficiently dry before they enter the villa after their walk. HOME TRUTHS Vayal is an open-plan villa with four entry points and no entry doors. Bedrooms can be locked only from the inside. There are lockable cupboards in the bedrooms. There is very poor-to-no mobile connectivity inside the house. There is some coverage in a few parts of the farm. You must rely on the villa Wi-Fi to make and receive data calls. Pet dogs are welcome in Vayal. Kindly bring your own bedding, linen, food ware and toys. Guests should walk their dogs only outside the premises and not within the villa courtyard. They must ensure that they scoop up and clean-up after their pets. Vayal has several open-to-sky spaces with trees growing in them. With lush greenery within and outside, the house attracts insects, bats, reptiles, frogs, and geckos. Do remember to keep all the doors & windows shut to keep out insects and other critters. This is NOT a child-friendly house and children below 11 years are not permitted. Stairs leading to the terrace are not secured and do not have handrails. The rooftop terrace and pool area do not have protective barriers. The pool is deep and has no lifeguard. The North & South Chambers and Indoor Lounge is a footwear-free zone. Shoes to be left outside the rooms. Personal slippers can be worn inside the house. Smoking is not permitted inside the villa, including in the bathrooms. Smoking to be done outdoors in the mango orchard and farm areas only. Please do not throw cigarette butts in the garden. The rooms can comfortably accommodate 1 accompanying nanny or caregiver on extra single beds or mattress. Separate staff accommodation and bathrooms are also available for chauffeurs and any accompanying staff. Vayal does not have a license to serve alcohol. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. Vayal serves only Chettinad Tamil food representative of the region. Non-vegetarian food is cooked in an external kitchen. The villa operates on a fixed daily set menu for all meals. The menu for each day will be displayed in the dining area. Small changes can be done if you have any dietary restrictions. Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch and dinner are optional and is charged extra. Our lunches are served on a banana leaf. The house has 100% backup power from a Diesel Genset with automatic changeover.
