Garden Cottage, Eco Bathroom & Composting Toilet

This sweet little garden cottage studio room is ideal for one or two people. It has an adjoining Eco bathroom with composting toilet & kitchenette with mini-fridge, kettle, coffee maker & toaster oven. It is nestled in a lovely garden, with bar-b-q, fire table, outdoor seating areas & hot tub. Situated in an urban, residential area, easy walking distance from El Cerrito Plaza BART station, & a couple of minutes from the I80 Freeway, it's a great jumping off point for day trips in the Bay Area. The space The Eco, garden studio cottage is in the back of my property. Access to the cottage is via a side gate and a garden pathway. Guests will have full access to the garden, plus bar-b-q, out door dining and seating areas, and the hot tub. There is also a ping pong table, and corn hole for your use, by request. The cottage is side by side with, and just a few outdoor steps from the Eco Bathroom (see photos), which has a composting toilet and a shower and sink that drain to an irrigation system for the garden. There are instructions for using the composting toilet in the photos and in the bathroom. The solid wood, Queen bed has an extremely comfortable Tempurpedic mattress. Shower shoes, hot tub towels and robes are provided for guest use. Guest access The cottage is in the back garden of the main house, and the owner lives on site. It has a separate gate entrance to the property, accessed with a combination code which I send the day before the rental starts. Other things to note The El Cerrito Plaza BART Station is a 5 minute walk from the house. BART provides easy access to Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. An Uber ride into the City Hall area of San Francisco costs about $40-$50, depending on the time of day. 80 and 580 Freeway on ramps are a 5 minute drive from the Cottage.
