Our apartment EICHE in Chalet Stalden is easily accessible on the main road towards Grindelwald. The famous mountain village can be reached in just 10 minutes by car and offers you a quiet retreat after an eventful day. Ideal as a starting point for summer and winter sports activities in the Jungfrau region. Wonderful hikes and bike tours to Grindelwald or towards Interlaken start right outside the front door! The space Our apartment "Eiche" offers plenty of space and coziness. In 2024 we completed the renovation. We have taken care of high quality materials and cozy furnishings to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The 120 m² apartment is on two floors (on the 1st and 2nd floors of the chalet). The first floor has a guest toilet, an open plan living and dining room, and the kitchen area. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms as well as the gallery. The gallery is furnished with a cozy reading chair. In the master bedroom, overlooking the mountains, there is a large box spring bed as well as a spacious wardrobe. The other bedroom is equipped with a large double bed as well as two single beds. This room has skylights – so you can fall asleep to the starry sky (attention – sloping roof!). On the upper floor, there is also the large and bright bathroom with shower. Please note that there is no elevator in the chalet. The apartment is therefore only accessible via stairs. A terrace is also at your disposal; however, it adjoins those of other guests, so you can see and hear each other. Barbecuing is not allowed for safety reasons. Guest access Next to the house is a cozy seating area (between the house and the railway line), which can be used by all guests in Chalet Stalden. Other things to note Next to the house is the main road towards Grindelwald, under the house flows the Lütschine and above the house the train passes. There could be noise nuisance. You can easily reach us by car, at the chalet there is a free parking space at your disposal (on the opposite side of the street). When arriving by train, get off at the Burglauenen stop (Attention – stop on demand!), from there you can reach us in 10-15 minutes on foot (downhill). The nearest grocery stores and restaurants are located in Grindelwald, the train ride from Burglauenen to there takes about 10 minutes, to Interlaken 30 minutes.
