Two bedroom cottage in Christchurch town centre Up to 4 guests 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs with wc shower room on ground floor The cottage has a very light airy and clean modern living space with a full size fully equipped kitchen a downstairs WC, dining/work area and lounge with high speed fibre broadband and a Smart LG led TV. The sun trap west facing garden has a cafe table with four chairs. This central Christchurch cottage is close to all facilities shops cafes bars and restaurants. The space Behind the traditional terrace cottage frontage, you enter an unexpectedly spacious and thoughtful designed, modern, light and airy space. Clean lines flow through the kitchen, dining room, and sitting room with tasteful furnishings, adding a sense of opulence to your stay. Like most of the cottages located in the historic heart of Christchurch it does not have on site car parking or EV charging. For passenger and bag drop off Millhams Street is one way and entered from its junction with High Street adjacent to the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing on High Street. The High Street is car free on Monday market days but vehicular access to Millhams Street is preserved from the High Street and Castle Street roundabout at the Priory end of the High Street alongside the first part of the market. The accommodation is spread over two floors. Ground Floor From the front door the cottage has a hallway with coat hooks and space for boots. A glazed door leads into the modern kitchen and dining area with a door to the downstairs wc and shower room. The fitted kitchen includes plenty of storage with an electric double oven and hob a microwave a fridge freezer a kettle and toaster and a full size dishwasher and washing machine. Beyond the dining area the lounge has and a large lantern light above and full height windows and door to the sheltered west facing patio and garden. The lounging area has a smart TV and fibre broadband service for streaming. First Floor Upstairs the main bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe. A second bedroom has is a single bed which can be set as a double accessed from the bottom and has a wardrobe. The upstairs modern om has a bath with shower and WC. Outside There is a sheltered west facing patio garden which has sun most of the day. The patio has a cafe table with four chairs and a gas barbeque is available on request. The side gate on the left looking into the garden area leads to a gated path running down the rear of the cottages providing a route for bicycles water sports fishing equipment and other items for outside storage in the left hand Ketter storage unit. The gate on the right-hand side although rarely used is for the residents of No 24 and 25 to utilise the path. Other things to note During the winter we try to extend the check out time so that you can enjoy a full last day, please ask on booking. We have a Virgin smart TV package which includes Sky Sports. The property is stocked with selection of Jacques’ games together with UNO, UNO no Mercy and playing cards to help in entertaining the kids! You may not need your car for the duration of your stay, there are so many things to do within walking distance! So coming by train is an option! PARKING Due to the central location of the cottage, we do not have parking. It is easy to drop stuff off in Millhams Street, just park where there is a space and unload. On the High Street which runs parallel to Millhams Street, two minutes’ walk away. There are parking bays. You can stop here for free in the parking bays between 5:30pm and 10am. There are no restrictions during this time. You can also use the parking bays on Bridge Street which are free of restrictions for the same time period. Saxon Square Car Park (BH23 1QA – Location 1880), a 2 minute walk away, is also available using Cash / Ringo / Just Park / Pay By Phone but there is a charge of £3.20 for 3 hours and £2.40 over night (£5.60). Saxon Square Car Park is the nearest, there are cheaper options, listed below. There are several public car parks around 6 mins walk from the cottage than are Six minutes walk - Bridge Street car park (BH23 1AZ – Location 1884) Cash / Ringo / Just Park / Pay By Phone 12 hrs £7.30 overnight £2.40 Leisure Centre car park (BH23 1HW – Location 1886) Close to Bridge St but behind the old council offices. Easy to walk through round the side. You need to drive round. Cash / Ringo / Just Park / Pay By Phone A bit cheaper 12 hrs £4.80. overnight 7pm - 8am free Willow Way car park (BH23 1NU – Location 1887) is 11 minutes walk again a bit cheaper 12 hrs £4.80. overnight 7pm - 8am free. You can walk along the river and past the Captains Club Hotel (pop in for a drink on the terrace!). Can pay for full weekend in one transaction using an app. Wick Lane Car Park in the town centre (BH23 1HT) and Saxon Square (BH23 1QA) have MER electric car charge points. There are locations within 15 minutes of the cottage that you do not have to pay for. Ask for advice!
