Hiraeth, a Gower Holiday Chalet

Reconnect with loved ones in this family-friendly place. This end of terrace property situated at the entrance to the Gower Holiday Village, sits within the heart of The Gower Peninsula in the beautiful village of Scurlage, one of the most sought-after destinations of the Gower Peninsula. There are local shops and glorious sandy beaches all within easy reach. Gower is ever popular with surfers, walkers and cyclists alike, here you are well placed to enjoy all these activities. Private parking. The space Hiraeth (pronounced Hear eye th) a bright and airy chalet with an open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There’s a comfy sofa and two armchairs to relax in and a wall mounted TV. The patio doors lead off the lounge area to the shared open garden/lawned area and a small seating area with bench for your use directly outside, please note that the area is not enclosed. There’s a spacious double bedroom with large windows and plenty of storage space, also a twin bedroom (2 divan beds) and a shower room with underfloor heating. All bedding is provided. Towels are provided for use within the chalet, it would be appreciated if you could bring your own towels for use in the swimming pool and/or beach please. Private parking is provided directly outside the front door for two vehicles. Please note that there is no cot or highchair available. Hiraeth is a privately owned property located on the Gower Holiday Village which has several facilities operated directly by the Village management, which include a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi (Seasonal opening times April to end September, times may vary. ) Guests staying at Hiraeth have access to the pool facilities at no additional cost by using the swimming pool key that is located within a small key cupboard on the wall of the hallway. There is also an indoor games room, outdoor children’s play area, an indoor soft play area (fee payable) and a dog field/walk area, additionally there’s a launderette facility near the soft play area. Located opposite Hiraeth is a well stocked shop selling a variety of foods, including cakes, pastries, bread, fruit, vegetables, soft and alcoholic drinks, and other general items. There’s also a fish and chip shop (seasonal opening times) and a hairdresser. Within a few minutes’ walk there’s a doctor’s surgery and pharmacy, which we hope you won’t require! Additional Information: There is a bus stop outside the shop with buses to some local areas/beaches, check at the stop for details. Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) has been installed to ensure improved indoor air quality by introducing fresh air while removing humid and stale air. This can be beneficial for some health problems. The Gower Holiday Village complex is closed after 31st December until 1st March, therefore the property is unavailable for these dates. Guest access The entire holiday chalet and access to the Gower Holiday Village - Please note that some facilities are chargeable. A swimming pool key is located inside the key cupboard in the hallway, this provides you with free access to the pool area. Please note that this key is provided to property owners by the Holiday Village management and if lost it is chargeable. Kindly return the key to the cupboard after use and before departure. Other things to note A carbon monoxide alarm is not required as there is no gas in the property, it is electric only. The local shop is directly opposite the chalet which is very convenient, however they have refrigeration units fitted that run 24/7 and some noise may be noticed in the front bedroom (twin bedded room) if the window is open. The windows are double glazed and a portable fan is available in the chalet if you prefer not to open the windows, sadly I'm unable to do anything to change the situation and hope you will understand. There is a meter cupboard in the front bedroom which is enclosed, please do not tamper with this cupboard. The underfloor heating is managed remotely, kindly refrain from attempting to change the settings manually. Thank you for your understanding.
