Located a few blocks from Main Street and within walking distance of local shops and dispensaries, this historic downtown duplex has been thoroughly updated for the ultimate comfortable stay, your way. We're all about bears, games, and Legos and all are featured prominently throughout. Each room boasts hand selected furniture, a unique color palette, and the softest bedding and bear themed quilts. Sleep soundly, knowing that the bears inside are your silent guardians. Aesthetic Roar: Our design philosophy? Rustic elegance with a dash of whimsy. Picture bear themed decorations, Lego art and flowers throughout, and a sweeping view of Fishers peak just out the front door. And don’t miss the extra-large shower, where the water gets as hot as you like it. The Bear Necessities: Beyond the cozy confines of the haus, adventure awaits. Explore public trails, Lake Trinidad, or some shopping on Main St just a couple of blocks away… where you might occasionally spot a black bear ambling down the brick paved streets. This updated haus features: TV's in the living room and main bedroom with upgraded sound. A drink bar in the living room featuring bottled water, individual drink packets, coffee service and an ice machine as well as well a bookshelf, game shelf, Xbox series x game console, drawing books/pads for exploring your creativity or just doodling when you feel like it, as well as adult/children's coloring books. The living room also contains a whole home air purifier (Shark brand) with real-time air quality monitoring so you know that you're always getting the crispest and cleanest mountain air. Fully adjustable backlit bathroom mirror with adjustable cool/warm light tones, anti-fogging and built in Bluetooth speakers so you can jam to your favorite tunes in the shower. The main bedroom features a fully adjustable bed w/remote. This pairs nicely with the wall mounted 43" smart TV that can be moved out over the foot of the bed for premium comfort and viewing while watching your favorite content. The second bedroom is a mixed use space with an office area for working remotely, travel blogging, or just video chatting with friends and family. The second bedroom also features a Murphy bed with memory foam mattress that can be hidden away if you need to be on video and don't want a bed in the background. Relax your way! this space features a theater style recliner loveseat, a rocker chair, a bouncer chair, and an oversized memory foam bean bag chair. The furnished kitchen features cast iron and enameled cast iron cookware, baking sheets, mixing bowls, service for 4, paper plates, glasses, refrigerator, microwave, cooking spices, condiments, and more! Heading out for the day to adventure? Checkout a Klymit travel pillow or two, Rough Country blankets, or camping pad to keep your comfort even on the go! The air can be very dry up here! Especially so if you're from a more humid climate. So we encourage you to stay hydrated with ample amounts of bottled water and we have 3 humidifiers available (enough for each bedroom and the living room to run simultaneously) to help you stay feeling hydrated throughout your entire stay. Guest access Guests can access through the dedicated front door and can also use the dedicated side door. Reservation includes full, private access to the entire unit including the living room, bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms 1/2 Access is code based and you will receive an access code for the front door 24-48hrs before check-in. Your access code will be active for the days that you have reserved and access will stop after checkout on your last day. Other things to note Bedroom 2 has a service door that opens to hallway that access the rear entry door. we keep this locked as it is for cleaner access between guests and Bear Haus has a side exit door for guest entry in addition to the front door. This door has a one sided lock latch on the guest side so that guest can have the security of locking the door and knowing that it cannot be unlocked from the other side. Bear Haus is a two unit duplex. Each unit is a distinct and separate space with at least 2 entryways each. Similar to a townhouse, only a wall is shared between the two units. There are no shared spaces between the two units. Our Co-host, Kasie lives next door with her family and is one of reasons we're rated so highly on our responsiveness. she's close by and always willing to help!
