Other things to note INTERNET DISCLAIMER: Internet in Playa del Carmen is not as fast or reliable as in the big cities. We have contracted the best available service in Playa del Carmen but sometimes there are internet outages. While these circumstances are beyond our control, we will call the internet company for you if there is an outage. However, if it is a general community-wide outage, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do until they fix it on their end and we cannot be held responsible for the lack. ELECTRICITY DISCLAIMER: Although very rare, electricity in Playa del Carmen may go off without warning. While these circumstances are beyond our control, we will call the electric company for you if there is an outage. However, if it is a general community-wide outage, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do until they fix it on their end and we cannot be held responsible for the lack of electricity. Because many people ask: 1. Payment: “submit a booking”, which means you pay the full amount now. We do not get paid until after your arrival. Thank you! *** Please note that at check-in we will ask you to read, accept and sign the following house rules and regulations: PARTIES/EVENTS: Absolutely NO parties/events. This is a quiet residential area and is not the right house for a group that is looking to party. Keep outdoor noise levels to a reasonable level, especially after 10:00 pm. However, we encourage you to enjoy the space. Any excessive noise or complaints from neighbors (during the day or night) will result in a $300 fine. If there is a second complaint, we will ask you to leave the property and lose the rest of your stay and your security deposit. USE OF ELECTRICITY: Electricity is very expensive here in Playa del Carmen. You are given a reasonable amount of use (30 kWh) per day and any additional consumption beyond the allotment will be charged at 7 pesos per kWh (about 35 cents USD). Turn off the air conditioner and lights when you are not in the condo. SMOKING: Smoking inside the house is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in a $300 fine, but you can smoke on the terrace DAMAGE/LOST ITEMS: Any damage to the house/property or any missing items will be charged for their retail replacement value plus labor (if applicable). CLEANING: Keep the house clean and respect it as you would like others to respect yours. This is not a hotel. If you leave the house excessively dirty and/or with excessive trash, you'll be charged a deep cleaning fee of $150-300, depending on how bad the mess is. GUESTS: Only guests who are on the Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property due to insurance and liability reasons (Airbnb does not cover damage caused by an event caused by a non-guest). CHECK-OUT: Respect the 11:00 AM check-out time, as our cleaners must start cleaning to prepare for the next guest. We have a STRICT 11:00 AM check-out policy. Late check-outs will be charged $300 plus an additional $150 for each hour after the first hour.
