Charming country house

Nature lovers, if you're looking for a corner of paradise, it's here! Let yourself be charmed by our tastefully and authentically decorated cottage and recharge your batteries in a bucolic setting. Ideally located at the gates of Morvan, 15 minutes from Auxerre and close to Guédelon and Vézelay. Ideal for a couple and two children, the cottage will seduce you with its layout and lush park equipped with games for children. The space On the ground floor (16 m2 + 6 m2), the cottage consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a sofa bed, a fireplace (NOT functional), a bathroom and a separate toilet. Upstairs you will find a bedroom (14 m2) with a double bed, a desk for working, storage and a space to accommodate a travel cot that is provided. From the bedroom, a ladder leads to a mezzanine (7 m²) equipped with 2 single beds (particularly suitable for children and teenagers; the mezzanine overlooks the bedroom just below). The cottage overlooks a courtyard shared with our main residence where we live and the park. If you wish, you can enjoy your meals outside in an intimate space overlooking the park. On the property, you may come across our two dogs (2 adorable Border Collies who are very friendly, especially with children, since they grew up with our 5 children). With a bit of luck, you may see deer who often come to visit us and eat some apples from the orchard. You'll also see our chicken coop. For vegetable garden lovers, you can get your hands dirty and pick some vegetables from our vegetable garden with us in the busy season. Finally, we are lucky enough to have a wash pond in the park where many amphibians (frogs, salamanders, newts) have made their home. For guests who come with pets, we ask that they not leave them alone locked in the house if they are away during the day. Regarding linens, we provide the sheets and ask you to bring your own towels. Regarding housekeeping, we ask that you try to leave the home as you found it. Thank you! Important note: the staircase that gives access to the upper floor and the ladder that gives access to the mezzanine are not equipped with barriers. For very young children, care should be taken to block their access. Guest access You have the entire cottage at your disposal and can use the park (6000 m2) and games on site (pingpong, trampoline, swing). Private but non-enclosed parking is available to park your vehicle. The property is located 20 minutes from Auxerre train station Other things to note Ideally located at the gates of Morvan (2 hours from Paris), 15 minutes from the entrance to Auxerre, 30 minutes from the famous medieval castle of Guédelon, 45 minutes from Vezelay and its luminous basilica. Close to famous vineyards (Chablis, Sancerre, Pouilly), you can also discover Puisaye and its many villages of Potiers, the houses of Colette, the castle of St Fargeau, the underground quarries of Aubygni which were used in the construction of the Hausmann buildings. Finally, you will have plenty of time to walk or bike in our beautiful countryside.
