Description
Enjoy a retreat in this newly renovated farmhouse built in 1848. We created this space for gatherings in mind, complete with a large kitchen stocked with basic cooking needs, a wrap around porch, and even a bunk bed room for the kids! This farmhouse is located on a working farm in the Sonnenberg Valley, which is tucked in the midst of Mennonite and Amish Country. The space This newly renovated farmhouse is situated on a 90 acre farm. While visiting, enjoy the farm walk trail that meanders through fields and woods. Outside the house is a spring fed well that feeds an old animal water trough that is now an pool for you to ice your feet in after a long day. There is a spacious lawn, big enough to enjoy a family game of kickball and frisbee, as well as a net you can set up to play volleyball or badminton. The driveway allows visitors to drive directly up to the wrap around porch, allowing for easy loading and unloading. There are several families living on the farm to be conscious of while you visit, but there is plenty of private space to enjoy while you are our guest. Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the front and back yard of the farmhouse. Please be mindful of the baby trees we have planted and try not to trample them. Be respectful of the privacy of the renters in the smaller farmhouse and refrain from going into their front or back yard. There is an apartment in the building visible from the back yard with renters as well. Feel free to use the back yard, but don't be surprised to see people coming or leaving from that building. Other things to note Please note that our wheelchair accessibility ramp is not a permanent fixture. If you let us know ahead of time that this ramp would be helpful/needed for your family we will make sure it is set up for you when you arrive. Thanks!
