Wake up to lake views from the primary bedroom, then step outside & enjoy coffee by the lake on one of our 2 docks, or patio. Take out our many lake toys, swim, or curl up with a book on one of several loungers. End the day with dinner on the patio, watch the sunset on the dock, enjoy family game night, or take a soothing dip in the hot tub. This entire level of our home, with its own entrance, is yours to enjoy. The space The Lakehouse is a rare gem in the Snoqualmie Foothills, where you can enjoy a private lake at a fraction of the price of renting an entire lakehouse! Experience your own retreat-like setting amongst nature, a peaceful environment, and soothing views, while still having convenient access to Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond if you enjoy the city - or drive East or North to enjoy an abundance of trails and hikes, with easy access to Snoqualmie Pass. Our large home is spread over three levels and you’ll stay in our modern daylight basement (fully refurbished in 2019), a self-contained level with large picture windows to take in the views, and your own entrance via an electronic keypad. We live upstairs, but it’s just me, my husband, and 2 small dogs. Some people love our dogs so much they ask to hang out with them while they are here - an added bonus for animal lovers! While we get a lot of compliments on the interior, it is the outside that really steals the show. With over 80 feet of lakefront access less than 30 steps from your door, this is closer to the lake than most homes in the PNW! It is a private lake, perfect for swimming safely or taking out one of our many lake toys. One of the most unique features of our property is our ‘entertaining dock’, the largest dock on the lake, with a large Adirondack seating area for six, plus a double daybed for sunbathing, cuddling, or enjoying a good book under a blanket in the Fall. There is also a second dock, a fire pit, and a large upper patio with an outdoor couch, dining area and loungers, along with a large covered hot tub with views of the lake. The interior offers 1,100 sq. ft. of comfortable living space, including a living and dining area, two bedrooms, and a spacious bathroom. The space is thoughtfully decorated, but still relaxed and lived-in — nice enough to feel special, without feeling like you have to tiptoe around the furniture. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The space is most comfortable for 4–6 guests, although we can accommodate larger groups if you don’t mind making use of the sofa beds and additional sleeping options. If you’re planning to bring more than six guests, please send us a request before booking. There is an additional charge of $30 per person, per night for each guest over six. The large lake-view bedroom might just be the best bedroom in the whole house. It’s a bright, spacious room with a huge picture window overlooking the lake and a sliding glass door that takes you straight outside. There’s a king-size bed, plus a loveseat that pulls out into a twin bed, or a trundle bed to set up if you prefer. You’ll also find a TV, wardrobe for hanging clothes and a desk if you need a quiet place to work. The second bedroom is smaller and has two twin beds. One of the beds can extend to king size, giving you plenty of flexibility depending on who is staying. For families with little ones, we also have two Pack ’n Plays available, along with a folding bassinet. The living room is large and open, and both sofas convert into beds. If you have a larger group - or simply don’t want everyone sharing sofa beds - an additional single trundle bed can also be set up in this room. LIVING & WORKING The living room is designed for hanging out. There’s a very large TV for movie nights, a DVD player, an electric fireplace, plenty of books, and board games galore. If you need to squeeze in a little work while you’re here, there’s also a sit/stand desk overlooking the lake. The Wi-Fi is strong throughout the space — and even reaches the dock if you fancy an office with a view and a breeze. KITCHENETTE & DINING The kitchenette is well equipped for preparing meals and snacks, with a medium-size fridge/freezer, microwave, two-burner electric cooktop, air fryer, Keurig, and a countertop convection oven that does much more than a standard toaster oven. You’ll also find plenty of useful extras, including a toaster, blender, electric grill, waffle maker, popcorn maker, electric kettle, drip coffee maker, and French press. We provide cookware, utensils, silverware, plates, glasses, and other basics. And if there’s something you need that you don’t see, just ask. We may well have it available for you to borrow. Coffee lovers: Please bring your own Keurig pods or ground coffee for the French press. One slightly unusual feature: there is no sink in the kitchenette. Instead, we provide a container for used dishes - and we wash them for you. Yes, you read that correctly: no doing dishes on vacation! We also have disposable compostable plates and utensils available upon request. There’s an indoor dining table that seats six, but during the warmer months we highly recommend eating outside. The patio has a large BBQ and large six-person dining table where you can enjoy your meal along with the lake view. BATHROOM The spacious bathroom has a tub/shower combination, and we provide a selection of toiletries along with hair-styling tools to make packing a little easier. LAKE TOYS We have various lake toys available for you to use - including 3 paddle boards, a canoe, a single kayak, a double kayak, 2 kids kayaks, a paddle boat, a row boat, inflatables, life jackets and fishing rod. People swim in the lake in the summer and samples are taken regularly to ensure it’s safe (it’s not a standing lake, it’s filled from several creeks). As with all PNW lakes there are occasional blooms that prevent swimming, but lake toys can still be used and you can still fish. I also do regular cold plunges in the lake in winter! Note that the backyard docks, lake toys, hot tub, BBQ, etc, are communal facilities. We are not out there too much - but with two docks and a patio there’s plenty of room for everyone! Should you want to talk to us, we are very friendly and well-travelled (and I am British, which is a bonus for some people!), but we are also happy to leave you be! PETS Dog friendly - Host approval required and extra pet fee of $30 per dog. Food and water bowl, plus poop scooper, are available. The yard is fenced on all sides except the lake. If your dog is both large and an escape artist then you’d want to make sure you’re out there with them, just in case, but we haven’t had any great escapes during Airbnb stays so far! ACTIVITIES BEYOND THE LAKE Local things to explore: ★ Camlan Medieval Village (4 min) ★ Remlinger Farms and Brewery ( 10 min) ★ Snoqualmie Valley Trail (5 min) ★ Fall City Floats (15 min) ★ Tolt McDonald park and river swimming access off the 203 (10 min ) ★ Cherry Creek Falls Trail (10 min) ★ Snoqualmie Falls (22 min) ★ Duvall Downtown (10 min) ★ Orenda Winery (13 min) ★ Woodinville Winery district (23 min) ★ Chateau St. Michelle Winery (30 min) We are a 40 minute drive to Seattle (and I'm happy to provide advice on places to visit) and 50 minute drive to the ferry stations that will take you to the Olympic Peninsula or Whidbey Island. In the winter months, you might want to consider a day trip to the slopes - we are just under an hour to Snoqualmie ski resort and 90 minutes to Steven’s Pass. OTHER If you want to take a walk outside of the property, it’s about a 40-minute loop around the lake. There is also a private community beach and playground close by - walk there in 10 minutes or drive there in 2! Guest access There are 2 parking spots for you to use on our driveway. You access the property by walking down the gentle steps on the right side of the house to the back garden, then swing a left to the rental. If you have more than two cars please park in front of our garden or on the gravel area by the shed out front. We have a gym in our garage that you are able to use upon request - equipment is featured in the listing. Note that the stationary bike is a Peloton and you would need to bring your own shoes. Other things to note CONCERT GOERS: We have 4 low-back Tommy Bahama chairs that you can borrow if you are going to a concert at Remlingers or Marymoor. POWER: We have a generator and cell phone boosters, so no need to worry in the event of a power cut! VISITORS: You may have visitors over, but please ensure they follow the house rules and are considerate of our neighbors when it comes to parking.
