A double attic bedroom access to which is up two steep flights of stairs, with wardrobe space and area to work should one require. Full access to a shared bathroom, (shared with the host only) with access to the kitchen area for the making of drinks and light snacks only. There is also seating in the small rear and front garden should you wish to use this (weather permitting). Two bicycles can be stored in the house for safe keeping. The host also resides at the property. The space Terrace house located on a quiet footpath in the center of Hathersage, Derbyshire with off-road parking provided. Access to the property can be gained down a gravel driveway which the property backs onto. Four steps take you down into the rear courtyard garden and then onto the back door of the property where there is a key safe should the host not be available to greet you on the day of your arrival. Guest access Guests have full access to the bathroom which is shared with the host who lives at the property. Use of the kitchen area for the making of drinks and light snacks only. During your stay access to the property is made via the back door as the stone slab floor is more accommodating for muddy walking boots and bikes. If the host is not available to greet you on the day of your arrival, guests will be given a code for the key safe which is located by the back door. During your stay Guests can contact Tracey via her mobile number which will be given nearer the time. Other things to note Hathersage is situated in the Hope Valley/Peak District, Derbyshire and is an ideal location for walkers, climbers and cyclists together with easy access by train to Sheffield and Manchester and bus services to Castleton, Sheffield and the market town of Bakewell. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, several pubs and restaurants in the village together with a wine bar, cafes, three outdoor stores and two convenience stores. Stanage Edge is within walking distance where climbers from all over the world visit to climb and walkers try to locate Robin Hood’s cave. (Little John is buried in the churchyard of St Michael’s Church, Hathersage). Castleton is a 10-15 minute bus ride with walks up to Mam Tor and Edale Skyline. There are several caverns at Castleton, the main one being Speedwell whereby you take an underground boat to ride through the cavern. This is based at the foot of Winnats Pass, a limestone gorge to the west of Castleton. Local legend has it that the pass is haunted by a young couple called Alan and Clara who eloped in 1758, only to be robbed and murdered by miners as they headed through Winnats Pass. Chatsworth House is only a 15 minute drive away being the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire with its magnificent house, grounds and picturesque village of Edensor and St Peter’s Church where Kick Kennedy, sister to John F Kennedy is buried. Monsal Trail Cycle Hire is based at Hassop Station Café and next to the Monsal Trail which is ideal and suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Derwent Bike Hire based at Fairholmes offers bike hire for cycling round Ladybower Reservoir. You can also kayak on Ladybower on Saturdays.
