The space Please note - this is not a property to host parties. Please be respectful of neighbors, and our quiet time hours. Our cottage is also great for remote work as we have a dedicated workstation in main-level den with unlimited high-speed fiber optic WiFi and good cell reception. We provide generous supplies: e.g. for a week's stay- nine toilet paper rolls (3 rolls/washroom); five Kleenex boxes ( 1 per bedroom+ Kitchen), two towel sets per bedroom, and more to ensure your comfort. It is about 15-20 minutes to the town of Huntsville for shopping, dining, entertainment, gas, groceries, LCBO and most all amenities. About 15-20 minutes to Arrowhead Provincial Park, 35 minutes to Bracebridge (Santa's Village) and 40-45 minutes to Algonquin Park. Close to several golf courses including Deerhurst, and Club Link's Mark O'Meara. Guest access The detached garage is not part of the rental and not accessible to the guests. Other things to note Cottage Rules This is NOT a party home. Noise by laws in effect. Maximum of 8 Guests. You will be asked to leave immediately if you are having a party. 1. Parking Please don't park your car on the lawn area/septic tank ( in front of the white door), this may cause damage. there are ample spaces for at least six vehicles in driveway and beside the garage. 2. Local Fire Safety Between May and October there is an outright ban on any day time burning. Google the local fire rating to double check if there is a fire ban in effect at the time of your stay. There are fines for burning in daytime hours or during a fire ban. Please only burn wood bought locally, do not cut or damage any trees at the cottage. Ensure fire is doused with water before retiring for the evening. 3. Occupancy The occupancy limit for this cottage is 8 people. This is due to the sizing of the septic system. Additional occupants can overwhelm the septic system. All guests staying at the cottage must be registered. Check-in time is 4PM. Check out time is 11PM. Please remember to take all your personal belongings with you when checking out. We are not responsible for any lost items or anything left behind. 4. Condition of the Property and Cleanliness All garbage must be removed from the cottage upon departure. Please wash all dishes prior to departure and remove any remaining food items from the fridge and cupboards. Please place any blankets, towels, pillows, and utensils back where you took them from. please note towels provided are not intended for beach/outdoor use. 5. Septic System Our cottage operates on a septic system. Please DO NOT dispose of anything other than toilet paper in the toilets. There are garbage bins in the washrooms for any other type of waste including paper towels, diapers, feminine products, and excessive toilet paper. If any of these items got into our septic system, it would clog and back up into the cottage. Please also help us maintain the health of the septic system by not dumping any fats, oil, or grease from cooking down the sink (You will be held responsible to cover any damage sustained to the septic system as a result of misuse.) 6. Prohibited Items Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage, on the deck and within 5 meters of the building. Please smoke outside and away from the cottage and put out and dispose of litter properly in the garbage. 7. No parties and guests other than those on the guest list are permitted. No fireworks is permitted on the property. Use of tents and campers are prohibited on the property. 8. BBQ Use Please make sure you turn off the BBQ, shut off the propane valve, and clean it after each use. Place the cover back on when the BBQ has cooled off. Do not place anything other than food in the BBQ. 9. Fireplace Use For your safety, during May-October, there is no access to the wood fireplace (kitchen) and gas fireplace in the Muskoka room except under special circumstances and with prior approval; specific instructions to the gas fireplace in the TV room are provided in the check-in package. 10. Disclaimer Please note the cottage owners shall not be liable for any damage or personal injury to the guests or their personal property.
