Hut in the Forest

A charming oak Shepherd's Hut, situated on a 2 acre small holding in the heart of the New Forest. We run a brewery (PIG BEER) with beer garden on site. We play ambient music from 12pm up until 8:30pm in the summer. Check out @pigbeerco for current opening hours. We have an excellent farm shop and vineyard next door, and a good pub (The Filly) within 2 minutes walk. Setley is based 2 minutes drive outside of Brockenhurst. We're 20 minutes from Highcliffe Beach, and 5 minutes from Lymington. The space Escape to the New Forest with a stay at our "Hut in the Forest," located at the PIG BEER Brewery in Setley. This Shepherd's Hut, clad in waney edge oak, offers a cozy retreat for a romantic getaway or a solo escape. Inside the Hut: • King Size Bed: Enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in the king size bed. Please note, the bed is accessible by crawling, which may be challenging for guests with limited mobility. • Wood Burning Stove: Warm up by the wood burning stove on cooler evenings. • Compact Kitchen: The kitchen includes a compact fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, combination microwave oven, two gas hobs, and a butler kitchen sink. • Bathroom: The bathroom includes a vintage style sink, toilet and shower. • TV: Smart Frame TV mounted above the bed. • Seating Area: There is a small table with seats inside the hut, ideal for meals or planning your day. • Clothing Storage: Limited storage provided under the seats and bed. The Shephard’s Hut features a curved roof and a charming, compact interior, finished with solid oak work tops and natural calming colours, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Outdoor Amenities: • Wood Fired Hot Tub: Relax in the two-person wood fired hot tub. Wood is provided. • Covered Seating Area: Enjoy the covered seating area with a table, chairs, and a BBQ for outdoor dining. • Storage: Additional storage for suitcases and boots is available underneath the hut. The Setting: The hut overlooks fields, with the closest one used as a parking area by the brewery during the day. This area is usually empty and quiet later in the evenings. The field in the distance is often visited by wild deer that live in the forest surrounding the brewery. Although private, the Shepard Hut backs onto our garden, and is located directly next to the brewery beer garden. Important Notes: • Small Space: The hut is a small space with limited clothing storage. Please pack accordingly. • Accessibility: Due to the layout and access to the bed, the hut may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
