Spacious Purbeck Guest Suite for Two

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. An ideal escape to the country for a peaceful break, walkers, cyclists & train enthusiasts. Part of our family home & with ample parking, your private entrance leads to a spacious hall, bedroom with king sized bed, large en-suite shower room, kitchen & comfortable sitting room. For your exclusive use there is a furnished, large, south facing terrace & garden with amazing country views overlooking the heritage railway. The space Fossils is a self contained guest suite in our family home. There is a connecting door in the hallway which is locked throughout your stay. We live on the other side of the house and are more than happy to be available should you have any questions but equally will respect your privacy. Fossils is spacious and recently renovated with a brand new shower room and newly decorated throughout. A spacious entrance hall with seating and space for coats and boots etc has a storage cupboard with cleaning materials and space to store your luggage. All rooms lead off the hallway. The bedroom has a king sized bed, bedside tables and lights, chest of drawers, hanging space. Dusk bed linen and Christy towels add to that feeling of relaxation. For stays of 4 nights or more we supply additional towels. For stays of more than a week, we offer a linen change. The large shower room can be accessed both from the hall and the bedroom. There is a walk in 1.6 metre shower, integrated cupboards, shaver point, toilet and basin. The fully equipped kitchen with oven, electric ceramic hob and microwave means you can prepare your own meals if you wish and no washing up as there is a dishwasher. We provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk as well as a small selection of spices, oils etc. There is a washing machine and fridge freezer also. There is a dining table and chairs in the kitchen. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with a two seater sofa and armchair, smart TV with Netflix and DVD player and a selection of films. Outside you will have exclusive use of the south facing terrace and garden with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. There is comfortable seating and a bistro table and chairs . There is also a small seating area in the garden with a fire pit with wood provided. Guest access There is dedicated guest parking to the side of the property and enough room for a boat as well. The entrance is up six stone steps. The entrance door key is in a lockbox in the covered porch. Other things to note Please note the property is adjacent to a farm which has a pop up campsite on some weekends in the summer and during the school summer holidays. You may hear some low level noise when sitting on the terrace but we have never found this to be an issue. The Swanage heritage railway runs along the bottom of the property and again whilst this can create noise as the train goes by most people find this an attraction as it is a fabulous sight. The train goes between the Victorian seaside town of Swanage and the historic village of Corfe Castle both of which are about 5 minutes by car. Whilst we are on a bus route, buses are fairly infrequent and you would really need a car to get to the many amazing places to visit around Purbeck. The property is on a public footpath which leads to a network of paths across Purbeck and to the Jurassic coast. The nearest pub the Kings Arms is a 30 minute walk though the woods with fabulous views as you reach the top of the hill. The unique and quirky Square and Compass pub is about 40 minutes on foot but you can reward yourself with a pint and a pasty and fabulous views overlooking the sea. If you are planning on bringing bikes there is safe storage but please let us know to give you the key.
