The space With a private parking space, the approximately 1,000 sq feet spacious Edge apartment - set on the middle floor of the building - sleeps 4 people within two large bedrooms with luxurious beds, plentiful artwork and accentuated lighting. One is a king size with its own bathroom with a supersized bath and rainfall shower. The other is a super king size with an impressive chandelier and an en-suite shower. The apartment has a brand new kitchen with all amenities, including a washing machine, retro style fridge freezer and an Aarke sparkling water machine. Full sets of Portuguese crockery, wine and champagne glasses, ceramic cafetières, linen napkins and other accessories are ready for stylish dining. The extensive lounge area has a TV with Google Chrome and a Scandi-style dining table as well as a selection of coffee table books and fictional novels. A trunk of games and jigsaws is available for adults and kids alike. Off the lounge, there is also double door access to a balcony with furniture, ideal for sunny hangouts with a refreshing drink. The wind-protected shared back garden is a sun trap with tropical planting, sun loungers and washing lines. There is full wifi. Guest access The Edge has one dedicated parking space right outside the apartment, a crucial benefit that means you can park up and walk everywhere, or explore Cornwall with ease knowing you're not going to have to hunt around or pay an extortionate rate for parking. Alternatively you can fly into Newquay Airport and take a taxi to the apartment, or rent a car from the airport. The train station is also right around the corner if that is your preferred mode of transport. Eliot Gardens is one of Newquay's only green streets with pretty cherry blossoms at the right time of the year. The Edge also benefits from a shared garden area with established tropical planting and sun loungers. There are cushions for these in the apartment. Your arrival is from 3pm onwards on your first day. There is a lockbox for entry to the apartment and the code number will be supplied near to your arrival date. We don’t want you to have to think about leaving just yet, but please depart no later than 10am on your leaving day, ensuring all windows are closed and both doors are locked, returning the lockbox key set to the box. Thank you. Other things to note The apartment is in the middle floor of the apartment building. We have politely asked that our lovely upstairs neighbours are as respectful of our guests as they are of them, but due to the flooring types, there is sometimes some sound that carries between floors. The residential, but central, location means that you can sometimes hear chitter chatter/noise from the street below as people pass by day and at night and there is the 'whirr' of vehicles as they drive past too. For anyone not used to 'apartment living' or a central location, this should be considered before booking. For this reason we have provided plentiful, brilliant wax ear plugs which block out any sound whilst you are resting and these have been much appreciated by previous guests. The Edge is fully covered with UK holiday let insurance, however guests should ensure they have their own either home or travel insurance to cover their personal contents for their stay, as is the (little known) norm for UK-based self-catering stays such as this.
