Escape to this spacious and peaceful retreat. Once my grandparents’ home, it has belonged to my family for almost 100 years and is full of authentic Cretan charm. Built on several levels, the house offers many cozy spots to relax. Enjoy the garden with flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. Perfect for a family holiday or a trip with friends. My family and I occasionally stay on the ground floor, while guests enjoy their own private areas. 🌿🏡 The space You will stay in the second apartment on the upper floor of La Maison Bleue, a bright and cozy space with beautiful mountain views. The apartment includes your own private kitchen with a fridge, as well as a private toilet for your comfort. On the ground floor, you’ll also have access to a shared fully equipped kitchen with an oven and everything you need for cooking, plus a washing machine for longer stays. Upstairs, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere from the balcony, taking in the panoramic views, or unwind with a book in the hammock on the terrace. In addition to your private toilet, there are also two outdoor showers and an outdoor toilet, perfect for warm summer days or after a trip to the beach. As in every authentic Cretan village, you’ll be surrounded by local life and nature — you may see or hear chickens, dogs, cats, and sheep nearby. 🐓🐑🐈 The apartment has a ceiling fan to keep you cool, and there is a good internet connection, making it suitable for remote work or longer stays. My family and I occasionally stay in a separate apartment on the property, and there may also be other guests staying in separate rooms on the ground floor. A peaceful, authentic place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience the real Crete. 🌿🏡 In the shared outdoor area of the property, there is a thoughtfully designed glamping tent that adds a unique touch to the overall stay experience, bringing guests closer to nature. The tent is mainly intended as a relaxation space and is not considered a separate accommodation unit. Its use may be arranged upon request and subject to availability. Guest access Guests are allowed to use all spaces on the first floor and the kitchen on the ground floor as well as the garden. Other things to note There are many cats in the property and 2 ducks.
