!! New floors installed in Jan 2026.Centrally located in Junction City, within walking distance of Dillons Market and amenities, a few minutes from highway i-70, 20 minutes from Manhattan. Enjoy this stylish 1920’s home complete with midcentury furniture and record player, TV, Roku and free laundry, some work out gear, deck and BBQ grill. All floors and some cabinets were recently redone, new stove, new dining chairs -we supply a free bottle of wine to boot, and relax on the large comfy sofa! The space This is an open sun drenched high ceiling loft like house all on one floor. It has a large porch in the front and a deck in the back with grill and seats. A large open living dining room area adjoins the kitchen and countertop / island. The two bedrooms have french doors that divide them (they have blackout curtains attached). There is a laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. The back yard features a concrete pad and a back deck with grill. It opens up to a quiet alleyway. There is on street parking that is always available. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with retirees primarily and young families. The stereo system has bluetooth. We have installed an outdoor security system with cameras to monitor the side yard and front deck for your safety. Please note that this is not a new construction home and is an older home. Floors are new engineered wood. Except for one bedroom that has an historic wood floor. The home has been newly painted with new electrical a new gas, stove, new water heater, new fridge and new dishwasher. We are dog lovers and welcome all dogs however you need to make sure that your dog is well groomed and does not shed excessive amounts of hair. Dogs may not go on the sofa or beds - please bring your dog's own bed or crate inside the house and wipe the dog's paws if it is muddy outside (this is rare in KS). We do a three hour complete professional clean between visits (it is cleaned the same way regardless of what it looks like) and take cleanliness very seriously by sending an inspector before each visit to make sure the clean was done professionally. Note unlike other hosts we wash all bed covers even top sheets and duvets between visits! ENJOY WANDER ZEN HOUSE! Guest access Guests can use the whole space including laundry but not the basement. Laundry room has a clamp light above dryer at time of writing. Your host Rebecca lives 30 mins away. Other things to note Parking is on the street outside the house - or behind the house. We asked that guests do not park there if the ground is damp because it will ruin the grass. We have two washing machine and two dryers, because we wash all bedclothes even duvets after each stay. They are available to guests. Please note the pet rules ! As pictured in the floorplan and in the photos, the two bedrooms are divided by front doors that close and have privacy curtains that are blackout curtains . Please look at the listing in detail. We have recently replaced the floors everywhere except one bedroom and refreshed the property which we do annually. Please note we do not allow smoking in or any other property. We also do not allow people to dispose of cigarettes in the garbage cans since the smell permeates the space. An extra cleaning Three will be charged if smoking takes place that can be up to $500 depending on how bad it is. Please understand that it will prevent us from renting to the next guest and takes hours and hours of cleaning. Reporting Problems All guests must report any problems that happen at the time when the problem occurred. If something goes wrong at two in the morning, you need to text your host on the app as evidence that it happens with photos. We require hard evidence of anything that does not work and the photos need to be time stamped and taken at the time when that happened. It doesn’t matter what time of day or night that is.
