CasaGocta1: private cabin, unique view of Gocta

Our house, your house. Experience a private cottage surrounded by nature in our property (3 ha). Cocachimba is a peaceful village facing the majestic Gocta waterfalls. The cottages are located 1 km away from the village, accessible via a private road and a 5 min steep footpath. You'll enjoy privacy, silence and a spectacular view. Hot water, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with a queen bed each, and WiFi. Check in at 2 pm Check out is at 11 am The space Casa Gocta 1 consists of one large room, which includes the kitchen, lounge and two double beds. Huge glass windows allow for a spectacular 360° view of the surrounding mountains and the waterfall (which you can even see while lying in bed!). Outside, a large roofed terrace with dining table allows you to enjoy the view while relaxing, eating or working. There is a bathroom located right outside the cottage, and we guarantee that your shower will be accompanied by one of the best views you've ever seen :) The kitchen consists of a gas stove with four hobs and oven, sink and lovely cooking space with all the basic pots, pans, plates etc. There's a small fridge too. Please make use of the water filters, because the water comes unfiltered and unchlorinated from a mountain stream. Please note: - We have electricity. For laptops, we recommend using a stabilizer because the current in Cocachimba can fluctuate, especially when it's been raining. There are 2 available. - There is WiFi. For phones, we recommend Claro, which has 4G signal in the house and also most of the village. - There's a washing machine in the storage room behind the bathroom. You can buy food, including some fresh vegetables, in Cocachimba. For a larger selection, head to the markets in Pedro Ruiz or Chachapoyas. Guest access You can park around 7min away from the house. From the private parking lot, a steep rocky path leads to the house. You can reach Cocachimba by foot. **IMPORTANT: please make sure you pay the entry fee to the Gocta waterfall. You can do this at the Tourism Association office at the main square in Cocachimba. The fee is modest and helps the local tourism association maintain this amazing attraction. Other things to note This cottage is our home, which we built with our own hands and lots of love, and with respect for both nature and the local culture. Please treat it with care. Stuff to do other than going to the Gocta waterfall: - Relax on the patio and enjoy the view! - There are rocky paths all around that are fantastic for hiking or trail running (for the fit people among you: an early morning jog until the waterfall is an amazing way to start your day). We love the hike to the Golondrina waterfall (only in good weather), or the hike down to the Cocahuayco River. - Explore the 3-hectare land! The marvelous spatuletail hummingbird has been spotted in the upper parts of the land, so go ahead and try some bird-watching!
